The process is pretty simple:
- Install Google Duo app in your smartphone
- Make the first call
- Google will deposit the cash reward to your account directly.
- Besides cash reward, there is also data reward for this activity
- You can refer your friends to use this app. Once they make their first call using Google Duo, you will get cash reward or data reward. Some reports say that both you and your friend will get scratch card worth Rs 1000
Terms and Conditions For This Offer
- This offer of cash reward is valid only for Android users. However, if you are an Apple user, and refer your Android friend, then only your Android friend will receive the cash reward.
- In order to be eligible, your phone number should be new; that is, previously the number has not been used for installing Google Duo. Your friend’s number also needs to be new inorder to get the referal bonus.
- You will need to also install Google Pay, which is Google’s UPI based payments app to receive the cash rewards. Hence, in a way, Google is promoting both Duo and Google Pay app via this offer.
- Residents of Tamil Nadu are not eligible for this offer, as Tamil Nadu Prize Scheme (Prohibition) Act 1979 comes into force, prohibiting such promotion.
- Per user, only 30 referral awards are allowed in a year
- Overall, upto Rs 9000 can be earned via this offer, in case all the terms and conditions are met.
Google Duo was launched in 2016, positioned as a threat to Skype and Facetime from Apple. But due to several reasons, the app couldn’t pick steam. Hopefully, this cash reward program will trigger new wave of usage.
