एक संत रोज अपने शिष्यों को सतसंग करते थे। सभी शिष्य इससे खुश थे लेकिन एक शिष्य चिंतित दिखा। संत ने उससे इसका कारण पूछा। शिष्य ने कहा- गुरुदेव, मुझे आप जो कुछ बताते हैं, वह समझ में नहीं आता, मैं इसी वजह से चिंतित और दुखी हूं। गुरु ने कहा- कोयला ढोने वाली टोकरी में जल भर कर ले आओ।

गुरुसत्संग : सत्संग का क्या महत्व - What is the importance of Satsang : GuruSatsang

शिष्य चकित हुआ, आखिर टोकरी में कैसे जल भरेगा? लेकिन चूंकि गुरु ने यह आदेश दिया था, इसलिए उसने टोकरी में नदी का जल भरा और दौड़ पड़ा लेकिन कोई फायदा नहीं हुआ। जल टोकरी से छन कर गिर गया। उसने टोकरी में जल भर कर कई बार गुरु जी तक दौड़ लगाई लेकिन टोकरी में जल टिकता ही नहीं था। तब वह अपने गुरुदेव के पास गया और बोला- गुरुदेव, टोकरी में पानी ले आना संभव नहीं, कोई फायदा नहीं। गुरु जी बोले- फायदा है। टोकरी में देखो। शिष्य ने देखा- बार बार पानी में कोयले की टोकरी डुबाने से स्वच्छ हो गई है। उसका कालापन धुल गया है। गुरु ने कहा- ठीक जैसे कोयले की टोकरी स्वच्छ हो गई और तुम्हें पता भी नहीं चला। उसी तरह सत्संग बार बार सुनने से ही गुरु कृपा शुरू हो जाती है । भले ही अभी तुम्हारी समझ में नहीं आ रहा है लेकिन तुम सत्संग का लाभ अपने जीवन मे जरुर महसूस करोगे और हमेशा गुरु की रहमत तुम पर बनी रहेगी

गुरुसत्संग : गुरु आपके हमेशा अंग संग है - Guru Aapake Hamesha Ang Sang Hai : GuruSatsang

*एक बार स्वामी विवेकानंद जी किसी स्थान पर प्रवचन दे रहे थे । श्रोताओ के बीच एक मंजा हुआ चित्रकार भी बैठा था । उसे व्याख्यान देते स्वामी जी अत्यंत ओजस्वी लगे । इतने कि वह अपनी डायरी के एक पृष्ठ पर उनका रेखाचित्र बनाने लगा।*

*प्रवचन समाप्त होते ही उसने वह चित्र स्वामी विवेकानंद जी को दिखाया । चित्र देखते ही, स्वामी जी हतप्रभ रह गए । पूछ बैठे - यह मंच पर ठीक मेरे सिर के पीछे तुमने जो चेहरा बनाया है , जानते हो यह किसका है ? चित्रकार बोला - नहीं तो .... पर पूरे व्याख्यान के दौरान मुझे यह चेहरा ठीक आपके पीछे झिलमिलाता दिखाई देता रहा।*

*यह सुनते ही विवेकानंद जी भावुक हो उठे । रुंधे कंठ से बोले - " धन्य है तुम्हारी आँखे ! तुमने आज साक्षात मेरे गुरुदेव श्री रामकृष्ण परमहंस जी के दर्शन किए ! यह चेहरा मेरे गुरुदेव का ही है, जो हमेशा दिव्य रूप में, हर प्रवचन में, मेरे अंग संग रहते है ।*

*मैं नहीं बोलता, ये ही बोलते है । मेरी क्या हस्ती, जो कुछ कह-सुना पाऊं ! वैसे भी देखो न, माइक आगे होता है और मुख पीछे। ठीक यही अलौकिक दृश्य इस चित्र में है। मैं आगे हूँ और वास्तविक वक्ता - मेरे गुरुदेव पीछे !"*

गुरुसत्संग : कर्म का फल भोगना पडेगा - Karm ka Phal Bhogana Padega : GuruSatsang

एक राजा बड़ा धर्मात्मा, न्यायकारी और परमेश्वर का भक्त था। उसने ठाकुरजी का मंदिर बनवाया और एक ब्राह्मण को उसका पुजारी नियुक्त किया। वह ब्राह्मण बड़ा सदाचारी, धर्मात्मा और संतोषी था। वह राजा से कभी कोई याचना नहीं करता था, राजा भी उसके स्वभाव पर बहुत प्रसन्न था।

उसे राजा के मंदिर में पूजा करते हुए बीस वर्ष गुजर गये। उसने कभी भी राजा से किसी प्रकार का कोई प्रश्न नहीं किया।

राजा के यहाँ एक लड़का पैदा हुआ। राजा ने उसे पढ़ा लिखाकर विद्वान बनाया और बड़ा होने पर उसकी शादी एक सुंदर राजकन्या के साथ करा दी। शादी करके जिस दिन राजकन्या को अपने राजमहल में लाये उस रात्रि में राजकुमारी को नींद न आयी। वह इधर-उधर घूमने लगी जब अपने पति के पलंग के पास आयी तो क्या देखती है कि हीरे जवाहरात जड़ित मूठेवाली एक तलवार पड़ी है।

जब उस राजकन्या ने देखने के लिए वह तलवार म्यान में से बाहर निकाली, तब तीक्ष्ण धारवाली और बिजली के समान प्रकाशवाली तलवार देखकर वह डर गयी व डर के मारे उसके हाथ से तलवार गिर पड़ी और राजकुमार की गर्दन पर जा लगी। राजकुमार का सिर कट गया और वह मर गया। राजकन्या पति के मरने का बहुत शोक करने लगी। उसने परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना की कि 'हे प्रभु ! मुझसे अचानक यह पाप कैसे हो गया? पति की मृत्यु मेरे ही हाथों हो गयी। आप तो जानते ही हैं, परंतु सभा में मैं सत्य न कहूँगी क्योंकि इससे मेरे माता-पिता और सास-ससुर को कलंक लगेगा तथा इस बात पर कोई विश्वास भी न करेगा।'

प्रातःकाल में जब पुजारी कुएँ पर स्नान करने आया तो राजकन्या ने उसको देखकर विलाप करना शुरु किया और इस प्रकार कहने लगीः "मेरे पति को कोई मार गया।" लोग इकट्ठे हो गये और राजा साहब आकर पूछने लगेः "किसने मारा है?"

वह कहने लगीः "मैं जानती तो नहीं कि कौन था। परंतु उसे ठाकुरजी के मंदिर में जाते देखा था" राजा समेत सब लोग ठाकुरजी के मंदिर में आये तो ब्राह्मण को पूजा करते हुए देखा। उन्होंने उसको पकड़ लिया और पूछाः "तूने राजकुमार को क्यों मारा?"

ब्राह्मण ने कहाः "मैंने राजकुमार को नहीं मारा। मैंने तो उनका राजमहल भी नहीं देखा है। इसमें ईश्वर साक्षी हैं। बिना देखे किसी पर अपराध का दोष लगाना ठीक नहीं।"

ब्राह्मण की तो कोई बात ही नहीं सुनता था। कोई कुछ कहता था तो कोई कुछ.... राजा के दिल में बार-बार विचार आता था कि यह ब्राह्मण निर्दोष है परंतु बहुतों के कहने पर राजा ने ब्राह्मण से कहाः

"मैं तुम्हें प्राणदण्ड तो नहीं देता लेकिन जिस हाथ से तुमने मेरे पुत्र को तलवार से मारा है, तेरा वह हाथ काटने का आदेश देता हूँ।"

ऐसा कहकर राजा ने उसका हाथ कटवा दिया। इस पर ब्राह्मण बड़ा दुःखी हुआ और राजा को अधर्मी जान उस देश को छोड़कर विदेश में चला गया। वहाँ वह खोज करने लगा कि कोई विद्वान ज्योतिषी मिले तो बिना किसी अपराध हाथ कटने का कारण उससे पूछूँ।

किसी ने उसे बताया कि काशी में एक विद्वान ज्योतिषी रहते हैं। तब वह उनके घर पर पहुँचा। ज्योतिषी कहीं बाहर गये थे, उसने उनकी धर्मपत्नी से पूछाः "माताजी ! आपके पति ज्योतिषी जी महाराज कहाँ गये हैं?"

तब उस स्त्री ने अपने मुख से अयोग्य, असह्य दुर्वचन कहे, जिनको सुनकर वह ब्राह्मण हैरान हुआ और मन ही मन कहने लगा कि "मैं तो अपना हाथ कटने का कारण पूछने आया था, परंतु अब इनका ही हाल पहले पूछूँगा।" इतने में ज्योतिषी आ गये। घर में प्रवेश करते ही ब्राह्मणी ने अनेक दुर्वचन कहकर उनका तिरस्कार किया। परंतु ज्योतिषी जी चुप रहे और अपनी स्त्री को कुछ भी नहीं कहा। तदनंतर वे अपनी गद्दी पर आ बैठे। ब्राह्मण को देखकर ज्योतिषी ने उनसे कहाः "कहिये, ब्राह्मण देवता ! कैसे आना हुआ?"

"आया तो था अपने बारे में पूछने के लिए परंतु पहले आप अपना हाल बताइये कि आपकी पत्नी अपनी जुबान से आपका इतना तिरस्कार क्यों करती है? जो किसी से भी नहीं सहा जाता और आप सहन कर लेते हैं, इसका कारण है?"

"यह मेरी स्त्री नहीं, मेरा कर्म है। दुनिया में जिसको भी देखते हो अर्थात् भाई, पुत्र, शिष्य, पिता, गुरु, सम्बंधी - जो कुछ भी है, सब अपना कर्म ही है। यह स्त्री नहीं, मेरा किया हुआ कर्म ही है और यह भोगे बिना कटेगा नहीं।

'अपना किया हुआ जो भी कुछ शुभ-अशुभ कर्म है, वह अवश्य ही भोगना पड़ता है। बिना भोगे तो सैंकड़ों-करोड़ों कल्पों के गुजरने पर भी कर्म नहीं टल सकता।' इसलिए मैं अपने कर्म खुशी से भोग रहा हूँ और अपनी स्त्री की ताड़ना भी नहीं करता, ताकि आगे इस कर्म का फल न भोगना पड़े।"

"महाराज ! आपने क्या कर्म किया था?" 

"सुनिये, पूर्वजन्म में मैं कौआ था और मेरी स्त्री गधी थी। इसकी पीठ पर फोड़ा था, फोड़े की पीड़ा से यह बड़ी दुःखी थी और कमजोर भी हो गयी थी। मेरा स्वभाव बड़ा दुष्ट था, इसलिए मैं इसके फोड़े में चोंच मारकर इसे ज्यादा दुःखी करता था। जब दर्द के कारण यह कूदती थी तो इसकी फजीहत देखकर मैं खुश होता था। मेरे डर के कारण यह सहसा बाहर नहीं निकलती थी किंतु मैं इसको ढूँढता फिरता था। यह जहाँ मिले वहीं इसे दुःखी करता था। आखिर मेरे द्वारा बहुत सताये जाने पर त्रस्त होकर यह गाँव से दस-बारह मील दूर जंगल में चली गयी। वहाँ गंगा जी के किनारे सघन वन में हरा-हरा घास खाकर और मेरी चोटों से बचकर सुखपूर्वक रहने लगी। लेकिन मैं इसके बिना नहीं रह सकता था। इसको ढूँढते-ढूँढते मैं उसी वन में जा पहुँचा और वहाँ इसे देखते ही मैं इसकी पीठ पर जोर-से चोंच मारी तो मेरी चोंच इसकी हड्डी में चुभ गयी। इस पर इसने अनेक प्रयास किये, फिर भी चोंच न छूटी। मैंने भी चोंच निकालने का बड़ा प्रयत्न किया मगर न निकली। 'पानी के भय से ही यह दुष्ट मुझे छोड़ेगा।' ऐसा सोचकर यह गंगाजी में प्रवेश कर गयी परंतु वहाँ भी मैं अपनी चोंच निकाल न पाया। आखिर में यह बड़े प्रवाह में प्रवेश कर गयी। गंगा का प्रवाह तेज होने के कारण हम दोनों बह गये और बीच में ही मर गये। तब गंगा जी के प्रभाव से यह तो ब्राह्मणी बनी और मैं बड़ा भारी ज्योतिषी बना। अब वही मेरी स्त्री हुई। जो मेरे मरणपर्यन्त अपने मुख से गाली निकालकर मुझे दुःख देगी और मैं भी अपने पूर्वकर्मों का फल समझकर सहन करता रहूँगा, इसका दोष नहीं मानूँगा क्योंकि यह किये हुए कर्मों का ही फल है। इसलिए मैं शांत रहता हूँ। अब अपना प्रश्न पूछो।"

ब्राह्मण ने अपना सब समाचार सुनाया और पूछाः "अधर्मी पापी राजा ने मुझ निरपराध का हाथ क्यों कटवाया?"

ज्योतिषीः "राजा ने आपका हाथ नहीं कटवाया, आपके कर्म ने ही आपका हाथ कटवाया है।"

"किस प्रकार?"

"पूर्वजन्म में आप एक तपस्वी थे और राजकन्या गौ थी तथा राजकुमार कसाई था। वह कसाई जब गौ को मारने लगा, तब गौ बेचारी जान बचाकर आपके सामने से जंगल में भाग गयी। पीछे से कसाई आया और आप से पूछा कि "इधर कोई गाय तो नहीं गया है?"

आपने प्रण कर रखा था कि 'झूठ नहीं बोलूँगा।' अतः जिस तरफ गौ गयी थी, उस तरफ आपने हाथ से इशारा किया तो उस कसाई ने जाकर गौ को मार डाला। गंगा के किनारे वह उसकी चमड़ी निकाल रहा था, इतने में ही उस जंगल से शेर आया और गौ एवं कसाई दोनों को खाकर गंगाजी के किनारे ही उनकी हड्डियाँ उसमें बह गयीं। गंगाजी के प्रताप से कसाई को राजकुमार और गौ को राजकन्या का जन्म मिला एवं पूर्वजन्म के किये हुए उस कर्म ने एक रात्रि के लिए उन दोनों को इकट्ठा किया। क्योंकि कसाई ने गौ को हंसिये से मारा था, इसी कारण राजकन्या के हाथों अनायास ही तलवार गिरने से राजकुमार का सिर कट गया और वह मर गया। इस तरह अपना फल देकर कर्म निवृत्त हो गया। तुमने जो हाथ का इशारा रूप कर्म किया था, उस पापकर्म ने तुम्हारा हाथ कटवा दिया है। इसमें तुम्हारा ही दोष है किसी अन्य का नहीं, ऐसा निश्चय कर सुखपूर्वक रहो।"

कितना सहज है ज्ञानसंयुक्त जीवन ! यदि हम इस कर्मसिद्धान्त को मान लें और जान लें तो पूर्वकृत घोर से घोर कर्म का फल भोगते हुए भी हम दुःखी नहीं होंगे बल्कि अपने चित्त की समता बनाये रखने में सफल होंगे। भगवान श्रीकृष्ण इस समत्व के अभ्यास को ही 'समत्व योग' संबोधित करते हैं, जिसमें दृढ़ स्थिति प्राप्त होने पर मनुष्य कर्मबंधन से मुक्त हो जाता है।

**एक दिन वह एक संत के सत्संग में पहुंचा । संत कह रहे थे, “दुनिया में किसी के बिना किसी का काम नहीं रुकता । यह अभिमान व्यर्थ है कि मेरे बिना परिवार या समाज ठहर जाएगा । सभी को अपने भाग्य के अनुसार प्राप्त होता है ।**

**सत्संग समाप्त होने के बाद मुखिया ने संत से कहा, “मैं दिन भर कमाकर जो पैसे लाता हूं उसी से मेरे घर का खर्च चलता है । मेरे बिना तो मेरे परिवार के लोग भूखे मर जाएंगे । संत बोले, “यह तुम्हारा भ्रम है हर कोई अपने भाग्य का खाता है ।**

**उस पर मुखिया ने कहा, “आप इसे प्रमाणित करके दिखाइए । संत ने कहा, “ठीक है । तुम बिना किसी को बताए घर से एक महीने के लिए गायब हो जाओ । ”उसने ऐसा ही किया । गांव मे यह बात फैला दी कि उसे बाघ ने अपना भोजन बना लिया है । **

**मुखिया के परिवार वाले कई दिनों तकशोक संतप्त रहे गांव वाले आखिरकार उनकी मदद के लिए सामने आए । एक सेठ ने उसके बड़े लड़के को अपने यहां नौकरी दे दी । गांव वालों ने मिलकर लड़की की शादी कर दी एक व्यक्ति छोटे बेटे की पढ़ाई का खर्च देने को तैयार हो गया एक महीने बाद मुखिया छिपता-छिपाता रात के वक्त अपने घर आया ।**

*घर वालों ने भूत समझ कर दरवाजा नहीं खोला । जब वह बहुत गिड़गिड़ाया और उसने सारी बातें बताईं तो उसकी पत्नी ने दरवाजे के भीतर से ही उत्तर दिया ‘हमें तुम्हारी जरूरत नहीं है ,अब हम पहले से ज्यादा सुखी हैं । *

*उस व्यक्ति का सारा अभिमान चूर-चूर हो गया । संसार किसी के लिए भी नही रुकता ! यहाँ सभी के बिना काम चल सकता है तथा संसार सदा से चला आ रहा है और चलता रहेगा । जगत को चलाने की हामी भरने वाले बडे बडे सम्राट, मिट्टी हो गए, जगत उनके बिना भी चला है । इसलिए अपने बल का, अपने धन का, अपने कार्यों का, अपने ज्ञान का गर्व व्यर्थ है । **

**कहने का तातपर्य यह है कि हर प्राणी को खिलाने वाला कोई और है ,हम सभी तो अपने अपने किरदार निभा रहे है फिर अभिमान किस बात का ? **

**अत: सन्त महात्माओं का कथन सत्य है उनके कहने

पर चलो और झूठे अभिमान से बचो ।**

एक समय की बात है, प्रतापगढ़ के राजा की कोई संतान नहीं थी. लेकिन राज्य को आंगे बढ़ाने के लिए एक उतराधिकारी की जरुरत थी. इसलिए राजा ने एक फैसला किया कि वह अपने ही राज्य से किसी एक बच्चे को चुनेगा जो उसका उत्तराधिकारी बनेगा….
इस इरादे से राजा ने अपने राज्य के सभी बच्चों को बुलाकर यह घोषणा की कि वह इन बच्चों में से किसी एक को अपना उत्तराधिकारी चुनेगा…

उसके बाद राजा ने उन बच्चो को एक एक थैली बंटवा दी और कहा….. 

कि आप सब लोगो को जो थैली दी गई है उसमे अलग-अलग फूलों का बीज हैं.. हर बच्चे को सिर्फ एक एक बीज ही दिया गया है… 

आपको इसे अपने घर ले जाकर एक गमले में लगाना है… 

और 6 महीने बाद हम फिर इस आप सब के इस गमले के साथ यहीं इकठ्ठा होंगे और उस समय मैं फैसला करूँगा की कौन इस राज्य का उत्तराधिकारी बनेगा…

उन लडकों में एक ध्रुव नाम का लड़का था, बाकी बच्चो की तरह वो भी बीज लेकर ख़ुशी-ख़ुशी अपने घर वापस आ गया… 

उसी दिन घर जाकर उसने एक गमले में उस बीज को लगा दिया और उसकी अच्छे से देखभाल की… 

दिन बीतने लगे, लेकिन कई हफ्ते बाद भी ध्रुव के गमले में पौधे का कोई नामोनिशान नही आया…. 

वहीं आस पास के कुछ बच्चों के गमलों में पौधे दिखने लगे… 

लेकिन ध्रुव ने सोचा की हो सकता है की उसका बीज अलग हो… 

यह सोचकर वह पौधे की देखभाल पूरी लगन के साथ करता रहा… 

लेकिन लगभग तीन महीने बीत जाने के बाद भी उसका गमला खली था…. 

जबकि दुसरे बच्चों के गमले में फूल भी खिलने लगे थे….

ध्रुव का खाली गमला देखकर सभी उसका मजाक उड़ाने लगे….. 

पर इसके बावजूद भी ध्रुव ने हार नही मानी और लगातार गमले की देखभाल करता रहा… 

देखते-देखते 5 महीने बीत गये , अब ध्रुव चिंतित था क्योंकि उसके गमले में कुछ नही निकला था । और अब उस गमले की देखभाल में उसकी रूचि कम हो गयी थी । लेकिन उसकी माँ ने समझाया कि - बेटा नतीजा कुछ भी हो लेकिन तुम्हे इस गमले पर अब भी उतनी ही मेहनत और उतना ही समय देना है जितना तुम पहले देते थे ,फिर भले ही गमले के प्रति तुम्हारी ये मेहनत बेरुखी से भरी हो । क्योंकि ऐसा करने से तुम्हे भी एक तसल्ली होगी कि बे चाह और बेरुचि ही सही लेकिन तूने उस गमले के लिये आखरी तक अपनी ड्यूटी और मेहनत दी। बाकी राजा जाने। और फिर अंत में उसकी माँ ने उसे ये भी समझाया कि सोचो अगर राजा को ये पता चलेगा कि आखरी में तुमने गमले के प्रति मेहनत और समय देना बन्द कर लिया था। तो हो सकता है राज तुमसे गुस्सा करें । और ध्रुव माँ की ये सब बातें सुनकर , तो कभी राजा के डर को याद कर , बेरुखी और बेरुचि ही सही लेकिन पूरा समय और मेहनत देता रहा ।

*और 6 महीने पूरे हो गए उस तय हुए दिन सभी बच्चों को महल में इकठ्ठा किया गया सभी के गमलों में पौधे थे…

बस ध्रुव का गमला खाली था… 

राजा बच्चों के बीच से होकर आंगे बढ़ने लगे … 

और गमले में लगे सबके पौधों का निरिक्षण करते… 

सबके पौधे देखते-देखते राजा की नजर ध्रुव के गमले पर पड़ी… 

राजा ने ध्रुव से पूछा… 

क्या हुआ तुम्हारा गमला खली क्यों है?*

*ध्रुव ने हिचकिचाहट के साथ जबाव दिया- जी मैंने तो इस गमले पर पूरे 6 महीने तक अपनी तरफ से पूरी मेहनत की और पूरा पूरा समय भी देता रहा लेकिन इसमें से कुछ भी नही निकला….*

*राजा आंगे बढ़े और सभी के गमले देखने के बाद सभी बच्चों को सम्बोधित करते हुए कहा कि – आप लोगों ने पौधा लाने में बहुत मेहनत की ।ज्यादातर लोग किसी भी कीमत में राजा बनना चाहते हैं लेकिन एक लड़का यहाँ खाली हाथ आया… 

जिसका नाम है ध्रुव… 

राजा ने ध्रुव को अपने पास बुलाया । “राजा के इस तरह बुलाने पर ध्रुव को कुछ अजीब लगा..” ध्रुव धीर-धीरे राजा के पास पहुँचता है… 

जैसे ही राजा ध्रुव के उस खाली गमले को उठाकर सभी बच्चों को दिखता है…. सभी हंसने लगे….*

*राजा ने ऊँची आवाज में कहा- शांत हो जाओ । 6 महीने पहले मैंने आप सब को जो एक एक बीज दिये थे , वे सब बंजर थे जो कभी उग नही सकते थे…. 

आप चाहे उसकी कितनी भी देख रेख कर ले उसमे से कुछ भी नही उग सकता था , लेकिन आप सब ने बीज बदल कर आसानी से उगने वाले दूसरे बीज़ ख़रीदे ताकि आप राजा बन सकें। लेकिन आप सब में सिर्फ ध्रुव ही है जो खाली हाँथ आया है । ध्रुव ने मेरे दिये उस बीज़ पर खूब मेहनत की और जब अंत में उसे लगा कि शायद बीज उगने का कोई चारा नही तो भी बेरुखी से ही सही लेकिन उसने पूरे 6 महीनो तक उस गमले में हर रोज अपनी मेहनत और समय दिया । इसलिये मैं ध्रुव को अपना उत्तराधिकारी नियुक्त करता हूँ ।*

एक मंदिर में एक ब्राम्हण रहता था| जो दिन रात भगवान् की सेवा में लगा रहता| ब्राम्हण की एक पुत्री थी रूपवती| ब्राम्हण रोज सवेरे उठकर भगवान् की पूजा-पाठ में लग जाता| रूपवती की भी भगवान् में बड़ी आस्था थी| बचपन से ही वह भगवान् की भक्ति में लगी रहती| भगवान् के लिए पुष्प व् पूजन सामग्री एकत्रित करना उसी की ज़िम्मेदारी थी|

समय के साथ-साथ रूपवती बड़ी हुई| अब ब्राम्हण को रूपवती के विवाह की चिंता सताने लगी थी| ब्राम्हण ने सोचा क्यों ने में मंदिर में कथा करना शुरू कर दूँ, जिससे की चढ़ावे में कुछ पैसा आने से मुझे थोड़ी आमदनी भी हो जाएगी और गाँव वालों में भी भगवान् के प्रति आस्था बढ़ेगी|

बस यही सोचकर ब्राम्हण ने अगले दिन से ही मंदिर प्रांगण में ही कथा करना शुरू कर दिया| ब्राम्हण का मानना था की चाहे गाँव वाले उसकी कथा न सुने, लेकिन मंदिर में विराजे भगवान् तो उसकी कथा सुंनेगे ही|

अब ब्राम्हण की कथा में कुछ गाँव वाले आना शुरू हो गए| एक दिन गाँव का ही एक कंजूस सेठ मंदिर में भगवान् का दर्शन करने के लिए आया और दर्शन करने के बाद मंदिर की परिक्रमा करने लगा| तभी उसे मंदिर के अन्दर कुछ आवाज़े सुनाइ दी| उसने मंदिर की पीछे की दिवार पर कान लगा कर सुना तो मंदिर के अन्दर दो लोग एक दुसरे से बात कर रहे थे|

उसने बड़े धयान से सुना… मंदिर के अन्दर भगवान् राम और हनुमान जी आपस में बात कर रहे थे| भगवान् राम हनुमान जी से ब्राम्हण की कन्या के कन्यादान के लिए दो सो रुपयों का प्रबंधन करने का कह रहे थे| भगवान् राम का आदेश पाकर हनुमान जी ने ब्राम्हण को दो सौ रूपए देने की बात भगवान् राम को कही|

सेठ जी ने जब भगवान् राम और हनुमान जी की बात सुनी तो कथा के बाद वे ब्राम्हण से मिले और कथा से होने वाली आय के बारे में पूछा| सेठ जी की बात सुनकर ब्राम्हण बोला – सेठ जी, कथा में बहुत ही कम लोग आ रहें हैं, भला इतने कम श्रद्धालुओं में क्या आय होगी|

सेठ जी ने ब्राम्हण को आश्वासन देते हुए कहा की आज कथा में जो भी आय हो वह ब्राम्हण उन्हें दे दें, इसके बदले में सेठ जी ब्राम्हण को सौ रूपए दे देंगे| ब्राम्हण को भला क्या एतराज़ होता, उन्होंने सेठ जी की बात मान ली| उधर सेठ जी यह सोच रहे थे की ब्राम्हण को आज कथा में हनुमान जी दो सौ रुपए देने वाले हैं जो में ब्राम्हण से ले लूँगा और बदले में उसे सौ रूपए दे दूंगा| जिससे की मेरी सौ रुपए की कमाई हो जाएगी|

शाम को कथा समाप्त होने पर सेठ जी ब्राम्हण के पास आए| उन्हें यकीन था की आज ब्राम्हण को दो सौ रूपए की आय हुई होगी| ब्राम्हण सेठ जी को देखते ही सेठ जी की पास आया और बोला – “सेठ जी आज तो काफी कम भक्त कथा में आए थे जिससे बहुत ही कम आय हुई है| बस दस रूपए ही इकठ्ठा हो पाए हैं!”

सेठ अब करता भी क्या| उसने ब्राम्हण को दिए वचन के अनुसार ब्राम्हण को सौ रूपए दे दिए और इस सौदे में तो सेठ जी को नुकसान हो गया| सेठ जी हनुमान जी पर बहुत गुस्सा हुए की उन्होंने ब्राम्हण को दौ सौ रुपयों की मदद भी नहीं की और भगवान् को दिया अपना वचन भी पूरा नहीं किया|

सेठ जी को हनुमान जी पर बहुत गुस्सा आया| वे गुस्से में मंदिर के अन्दर गए और उन्होंने हनुमान जी की मूर्ति को धक्का दे दिया| सेठ जी ने जैसे ही हनुमान जी की मूर्ति को धक्का देने के लिए अपना हाथी मूर्ति पर रखा हाथ वहीँ चिपक गया| भला हनुमान जी के पकड़ से कोई बच सकता है|

तभी सेठ जी को को फिर एक आवाज़ सुनाई दी| अब भगवान् राम हनुमान जी से ब्राम्हण को दौ सौ रूपए देने के बारे में पुछ रहे थे| भगवान् राम का आदेश सुनकर हनुमान जी बोले “प्रभु..सौ रूपए की मदद तो हो गई है, बाकि बचे सौ रुपयों के लिए सेठ जी को पकड़ के रखा है| जैसे ही वे सौ रूपए देंगे उनको छोड़ देंगे|

सेठ जी ने जैसे ही भगवान् राम और हनुमान जी के बीच की बात सुनी उन्होंने सोचा, “अगर गाँव वालों ने देख लिया की में हनुमान जी की मूर्ति को धक्का मार रहा था और हनुमान जी ने मुझे पकड़ लिया है तो मेरी बहुत बदनामी होगी|”

बस फिर क्या था, “सेठ जी ने हनुमान जी को ब्राम्हण को सौ रूपए देने का वादा किया”

हनुमान जी ने सेठ की बात मानकर उसका हाथ छोड़ दिया और सेठ जी ने अपने वादे अनुसार ब्राम्हण को सौ रूपए दे दिए और सर पकड़ कर चलते बने|

साथियों, इसीलिए कहा गया है ज्यादा लोभ हमेशा हानिकारक होता है| सेठ को उसके लालच की सज़ा मिल गई और ब्राम्हण को उसकी भक्ति का फल| इसीलिए कहा गया है जैसी करनी वैसी भरनी…

शायद आज चीन ये भूल गया है की भारत के पास सैतान सिंह जैसे जाबाज़ सिपाही हैं जो अकेले ही 1300 को ढेर कर सकते हैं | आपको बताते हैं मेजर सैतान सिंह ने 1962 के युद्ध में 120 भारतीय सिपाहियों की टुकड़ी के साथ अपने से कई गुना ज्यादा सिपाहियों का सामना किया और ऐसा सामना किया की आज भी चीन के लोग सैतान सिंह के नाम से खौफ खाते हैं | भारत के पूर्व सैनिकों का कहना है अगर आज लद्दाक भारत का हिस्सा है तो इसका श्रेय भारत के बाहुबली मेजर सैतान सिंह को ही जाता है और उनकी टीम को | वो 18 नवंबर 1962 की खून जमा देने वाली सर्द रात थी, भारत और चीन के बीच युद्द चल रहा था। तब लद्दाख का तापमान था माइनस 30 डिग्री। चीनी सेना को हमेशा पराक्रम से ज्यादा छल कपट पर भरोसा रहता है |

लद्दाख के चुशूल घाटी में रिजांग ला एक बेहद अहम पहाड़ी दर्रा है।16 हज़ार फ़ीट ऊंचाई पर ये इलाका 2 किलोमीटर चौड़ा और 3 किलोमीटर लम्बा है |लद्दाक पर कब्ज़ा करने के लिए चुसूल घाटी पर कब्ज़ा करना बहुत जरूरी था दुश्मनों की निगाहें भी इसी घाटी पर थी | इस घाटी का जिम्मा दिया गया था 13वीं कुमाऊंनी बटालियन के मेजर शैतान सिंह को | रात के सन्नाटे में दुशमन की फौज बढ़ रही थी यह खबर मिल गयी थी लेकिन लेकिन रात में दुश्मन फौजियों की संख्या का अनुमान नहीं लग पाया था | जब दुश्मन भारतीय मोर्चे से लगभग 700 से 800 मीटर दूर रह गया तो मेजर शैतान सिंह के नेतृत्व में इंडियन आर्मी ने हमला बोल दिया। कहते हैं सैतान सिंह उस शाम चीनी सेना के लिए एक काल थे | रात का सन्नाटा -30 तापमान लेकिन अंदर से देश की रक्षा का जूनून | युद्ध शुरू हुआ तो चीनी सिपाहियों की लाशे बिछ गयी|

मेजर शैतान सिंह के पास रणक्षेत्र से वापस हटने का भी विकल्प था, लेकिन ये सीख भारतीय सेना में दी नहीं जाती है। जब युद्ध समाप्त हुआ तो आकड़े चौकाने वाले थे | 120 जवानों में 114 सैनिक भारत के शहीद हो गए | जो 6 जिंदा बचे उन्हें चीनियों ने कैद कर लिया | लेकिन भारत के बाहुबली मेजर शैतान सिंह की अगुवाई में 120 भारतीय जवानों ने 1300 सैनिकों को ढेर कर दिया। जिन 6 को चीनी सेना ने पकड़ा था वो भी अपने पराक्रम से चीनी कैद से भाग निकले …

No matter who you are, where you’re from, what you do, or how much money you make, death will eventually touch you. Since the dawn of time, humans have pondered their own mortality. We await the fateful day when our lives will be over . . . and it will happen in an instant.Have you thought about what it will be like to experience the moment of death?Science has a lot to say about the termination of our human consciousness—the moment we expire. Through modern tools and research, we can peer more deeply into what death is and what the experience is like for the subject.

10 AmbiguityAmbiguity surrounds the idea of what it means to be officially dead. There are concepts like “legally dead” and “clinically dead” (which is actually an unclear term). Most people believe that you’re dead when the body reaches a point at which animated life cannot return. Some individuals define death as that moment when the heartbeat stops, while others think it’s when your brain ceases to function.So what is death?There really is no answer. Even if the heart completely fails and the brain has no activity, the circulatory system can still be powered by machines long enough to resuscitate you.So while there is definitely a moment of no return that we all know intuitively exists, death is a process whereby all the biological functions fail one by one until there is simply a complete inability to resuscitate the patient.

What happens to our consciousness when we die?The current scientific framework tells us that consciousness is a by-product of the brain, that the brain creates consciousness through neural activity, and that the death of the brain is the death of consciousness. But consciousness isn’t the whole story.Although questions about consciousness are probably some of the toughest that philosophy and science have ever argued, that isn’t the defining factor of life. Under general anesthesia, all consciousness stops but the patient undergoing surgery is very much alive. Many thinkers, both religious and scientific, have chosen to view consciousness as a spectrum rather than a switch which is either on or off.[2]In general, modern science views organisms as either more or less conscious, starting with the fundamental building blocks of life and evolving all the way up to the prefrontal cortex of human beings who are self-aware.This is a critical concept in understanding the moment of death: What happens to “us,” or the self? If we take the view that consciousness stems from the brain, we simply cease to exist upon the moment of death. Time, experience, thought . . . everything that we know goes away.We undergo the one thing that none of us has ever experienced in our lives—true timelessness, a concept so far removed from any human reality that it’s virtually meaningless to those of us who are alive.

Contrary to popular belief, the brain isn’t the last thing to go at the moment of death. Typically, the death of the body follows shortly after brain death.In most nations, “brain death” is generally defined as zero activity within the brain stem, which is the most rudimentary portion of the brain. From there, all other brain activity and larger systems operate. The brain stem links the spinal cord (and thus the entire nervous system) with the portions of the brain that control thought and emotion, like the prefrontal cortex or the hippocampus.As in zombie movies, if the brain stem is dead, the person likely dies with it. In essence, the death of the brain stem is the death of the organism because the brain stem controls all the vital bodily functions like respiration.Without a functioning brain stem, all these systems begin to shut down. Currently, the death of the brain stem is the final moment of brain death and often the point of legal death in most countries. When the heart stops beating, it’s estimated that the brain can survive up to a maximum of about six minutes. Even then, brain damage will be significant.[3]No matter what starts the chain of events that causes a person to die, the death of the brain stem is always the cause of death—even for a heart attack or drowning victim. If the brain dies, the body may live on for a few minutes. But a body isn’t truly dead until the brain stem loses all functioning.

Here’s another counterintuitive occurrence at the moment of death: As the body becomes deprived of oxygen on the cellular level, brain activity actually heightens. Although ethical doctors aren’t using fMRI machines on their dying patients, research shows that the brain goes berserk in animals, lighting up like a fireworks display at the time of death.When a rat’s heart stops, its brain goes into overdrive in all areas known to produce consciousness. This process isn’t wholly understood, but it’s believed to produce what we call the near-death experience—the extraordinary sensations, sights, sounds, memories, and other experiences of people who are revived shortly after death.

The fact that the brain goes into overdrive is reported to create a heightened sense of awareness in the person undergoing death. Without delving too far into the paranormal, individuals who have returned from the other side describe lights that were brighter than can be imagined in waking life as well as sensations, smells, tastes, and other events that are completely out of this world.Some see this as a religious encounter. But scientists view these experiences as the result of the stimulation of the brain at the moment of death. If we look at consciousness as a spectrum, the instant right before death is when we’re technically the most alive.It’s a bizarre twist of fate. The final moment of consciousness before total unconsciousness is the most conscious we will ever be. Poetic, isn’t it?

Individuals who have had near-death experiences (NDEs) often report an extreme distortion of time. Many have paranormal explanations for this phenomenon. But concrete science and first-person accounts aplenty report that time seems to slow down to a crawl or stop altogether. Some people claim that time loses all meaning in the moments leading up to and during death.In studies by Bruce Greyson, up to 70 percent of participants who had experienced an NDE reported time distortion, especially the slowing down of time. Broader studies spanning decades have also noted this phenomenon, solidifying it into the world of psychology and modern science.Hopefully, further research will enlighten us on these two obscure and elusive subjects: consciousness and time.

Although the “moment” of death can be quite ambiguous even in a clinical setting, the concept extends beyond the death of the brain stem—the so-called point of no return. That extension is biological death.Even after a subject has reached the point where they are unable (as of now) to be brought back from death, many cells in the body are still very much alive—but dying. This raises some deep questions pertaining to the nature of the self: What are we? Are we the consciousness which is extinguished or transcends at death, or are we the totality of the body’s cells?Modern science is conflicted on this issue and probably will be for a long time. Scientists note that we are both physical, material beings and an “inner self.” This is the experience portion of the self—and the only part we ever truly, intimately know.So when are we dead? Is it when the inner self is gone? Or is it when the last cell in our body finally dies?

At least for a natural death, there seems to be a somewhat predictable rhythm to when you will die. Much like the body’s circadian rhythm, researchers are discovering that we may have built-in biological death cycles as well.The circadian rhythm is the biological clock that regulates more than sleep. It controls our moods, our appetites, and much more. As it turns out, people who die in the morning have different biological clocks and even brain compositions than people who die at night.Even stranger, researchers in California decided to push this one step further to see what differences were in the brains of people who died suddenly through trauma (unnatural deaths). Although our brain rhythms can’t “know” when we’re going to die in a car accident, researchers found the same cyclical pattern of protein differences in these brains as in those of people who had died from natural causes.[8]This means that some changes to the brain that are part of the person’s cycle are an aftereffect that’s set to transpire the moment we die.

Many different genes activate at the moment of death, although researchers aren’t sure why. It gets even weirder: Some genes continue to switch on for quite a while after death.Traditionally, it was assumed that genes, like cells, simply die off slowly one by one. But this idea has now been turned on its head. In a dead organism, some formerly inactive genes turn on—from 24 hours after death up to several days after death.We’re not talking about one or two genes, either. In zebra fish and mice, researchers have observed more than 500 genes activating up to 48 hours after the death of the organism.

All of this suggests that there is still enough “life” in these genes after the death of the cells (as there is enough life in the cells after the death of the brain stem) to keep on living. As science and technology advance, the moment of death is further delayed.At one point, we presumed that a person without a heartbeat was dead. Now we’re starting to see the bigger picture—that this gradient which is the moment of death is quite flexible. And all these discoveries about death have brought about new discussions, experiments, and thoughts about life.[10]Firms around the world are seizing on these concepts in the hopes that medical science can someday make death reversible, at least up to a certain point. We are now looking at ways to reverse brain death and bring people back from that point of no return.Before we write this off as wishful thinking, remember that some animals regrow whole limbs or have severed limbs that grow into new organisms. The supposed line between life and death is quite flimsy. Time will tell how successful we are in our endeavors to understand the final moments of our lives and how many more discoveries regarding the moment of death are yet to be made.

Today, we use them to catch fleeing criminals, find hidden drugs, and be our loyal companions.The following stories recount just how loyal dogs are—from staying by your side during excruciatingly difficult situations to sacrificing their very lives to protect you from a wild animal attack. As it turns out, dogs would never hesitate to jump into life-threatening situations to save their owners or even complete strangers.

In Cleckheaton, England, a nine-year-old Jack Russell named Jess managed to save her owner’s life after some quick actions. Rebecca Brookes, Jess’s owner, started experiencing a severe asthma attack one day. In the midst of her uncontrollable coughing and gasping for breath, Jess sensed the danger and promptly fetched Rebecca’s inhaler from her room.Once Rebecca recovered from her asthma attack, she decided to see if it was just a coincidence that her dog came to her rescue. She placed her inhaler in a different room and coughed a little to see what Jess would do. Much to Rebecca’s surprise, Jess started looking for the hidden inhaler, found it, and brought it to her owner.[1]Rebecca told her dad about it. He tried to get a reaction out of Jess and started coughing as well. Yet, as a definitive display of her intelligence, Jess knew that he was just pretending and didn’t really need an inhaler. After her heroic feat in saving her owner, Jess grew to be a real help by fetching Rebecca’s car keys, her shoes, and even her letters.

In Anthem, Arizona, Paula Godwin decided to treat her dogs to a refreshing hike outside. While taking a leisurely stroll on a hiking trail, Todd the golden retriever noticed that Godwin was about to step on a rattlesnake lurking on the path.Just as the rattlesnake pulled back to strike, the young pup jumped in the way and absorbed the devastating impact of the strike, sustaining a gruesome bite on his snout. Godwin rushed little Todd to a local animal hospital for immediate treatment.[2]Amazingly, Todd survived the rattlesnake bite and made a full recovery. Godwin shared the whole ordeal on social media, where the story spread like wildfire. A crowdfunding account was opened in honor of Todd to gather enough funds to help other pet owners who face the threat of similar injuries in the area due to the abundance of venomous snakes and reptiles.

In Louisville, Kentucky, a woman credited her rescue dog with helping to fight off a man who had broken into her home. Layla the pit bull was rescued by Kelsey Leachman back in 2016 when Leachman found the dog malnourished and covered in pests like ticks and fleas. Then Layla returned the favor and rescued Leachman.On the night of the incident, Layla and her owner were in the living room watching television when the dog started getting uneasy. The tense pit bull ran into the kitchen, barking and growling all the way. Obviously sensing that something was wrong, Leachman got up to investigate.Standing in her kitchen was a man she didn’t recognize. Leachman decided to make a run for her front door, but the mysterious man ran after her and tackled her to the ground. Layla was barking and biting at the man’s legs the whole time, and Leachman was able to get out from under her attacker with the help of her loyal pit bull.Layla scared off the intruder by chasing him out of the house. Leachman called the police right away, and they arrived at the scene with their canine unit to track the suspect. Unfortunately, the dogs lost the suspect’s scent at a nearby high school. It is assumed that he drove off in a car.Leachman was eternally grateful for her pet’s valiant efforts, stating that she couldn’t have overpowered the intruder by herself.

A family from Bastrop County, Texas, adopted a dog named Chrome at Bastrop County Animal Shelter in 2017. Laura Smith, Chrome’s owner, was sleeping in her home with her two boys one night when Chrome woke her up at around 1:00 AM. Chrome stayed with her until she realized that her home was on fire. Then Chrome took off to get the two boys. Everyone managed to get out of the house before the blaze consumed the house and nearly all their possessions.Smith believes that the fire was due to bad electrical wiring in one of the walls of her home. Yet the house sustained so much damage that an official cause of the fire couldn’t be determined. As the house is situated so far from the station, it took 11 minutes for the fire truck to arrive.St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Elgin provided the Smith family with some living arrangements. Meanwhile, the Bastrop County Animal Shelter pitched in by raising $1,000 to help them get back on their feet. Chrome also received a bountiful amount of dog food and treats as well as a certificate for “heroic acts of bravery and love.”

A 56-year-old man from Central Queensland rolled his quad bike at Bondoola on a rural property. He was pinned underneath his bike and unable to get help. The man was stuck there for an entire night and suffered from hypothermia.Yet everything could have been worse if it wasn’t for his trusty cattle dog keeping him warm. A neighbor out for a ride on his horse noticed the overturned quad bike and stopped to help by calling emergency services.Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service crewman Garth Snaidero confirmed that the man might not have survived without his dog. The man was airlifted to a nearby hospital, and the dog went along as well. Believed to be a Smithfield cross, the canine rescuer appeared to be in good spirits and even took a liking to the helicopter’s pilot.

In Black Mountain, North Carolina, Tiffany Merrill let her 2.2-kilogram (5 lb) toy poodle named Pickle outside their home for his morning walk on August 31, 2018. The door was barely open for a moment when an aggressive and seemingly fearless bear came bursting through.According to Merrill, the bear weighed 68–91 kilograms (150–200 lb). Fearing for her life, Merrill screamed for her children to close their bedroom doors. She dived behind her couch before the bear could pounce on her. Yet, Pickle was able to distract the bear and lead it outside the house.Once outside, the bear and the poodle attacked each other ferociously. As the bear retreated, Merrill rushed to her dog’s aid and took him to a vet. But it was too late.Pickle the toy poodle had sustained too many life-threatening injuries and died saving the life of his owner. Merrill was only slightly injured during the whole ordeal. She sustained a sprained ankle and a sore back. The bear is still on the loose. All the authorities could do was to inform Merrill that she could shoot the bear the next time she felt threatened.

Jane Lavergne from Ottawa, Canada, lives with a lung disease and relies on an oxygen tank to help her breathe. One night, she noticed that she was struggling more than usual to breathe properly. So she decided to sleep on the couch in the living room downstairs to be more elevated.Yet, she collapsed and passed out the next morning when she tried to reach for a glass of water. Her 11-year-old Yorkie-Pomeranian mix, Noah, noticed what was happening and ran upstairs. He barked incessantly at the door of Lavergne’s husband, Ken, in an effort to wake him up.Luckily, Noah’s efforts paid off. Ken got up and noticed his wife slumping unnaturally on the couch, which prompted him to call 911. The ambulance arrived to take Jane to the hospital, where doctors discovered that she was suffering from pneumonia.[7]Combined with her lung disease, the pneumonia caused the collapse. Jane was placed on life support when her husband arrived at the hospital. The ambulance driver told Ken that Jane was minutes away from succumbing to her condition. Fortunately, Noah’s vigilance saved her.

She’s a trained therapy dog for the “Paws for Love” initiative with the local SPCA.One night, Ruby barked incessantly for nearly an hour and a half. As she’s normally an attentive, well-trained dog, the couple knew that something was seriously wrong. Once the couple started looking for a reason why Ruby was barking, they noticed the smell of propane in the air. This was probably due to the newly installed propane heater in their basement. The couple was able to escape their house before carbon monoxide poisoning could occur, and it’s all thanks to Ruby’s keen sense of smell and intuition.

In Girdwood, Alaska, a man lives close to the 39-kilometer-long (24 mi) Crow Pass Trail. His name is Scott Swift, and he is the proud owner of Nanook the Alaskan husky. Nanook loves to follow hikers on their journeys and learned the whole route by heart. Swift is so used to it that he doesn’t even mind when he notices that his dog is gone.One day, Amelia Milling, a student from the Rochester Institute of Technology, was doing a three-day solo hike on the Crow Pass Trail when she lost her footing and fell 183 meters (600 ft) down an icy mountain. Out of nowhere, Nanook came to her aid. He stayed by her side and guided her back to the main path. Unfortunately, Milling slipped while trying to cross a river. For the second time, Nanook came to her rescue and helped her paddle to safety.Milling wormed her way into her sleeping bag to preserve her declining body temperature. At first, she thought that she would be able to recover from the unexpected dip. But once she realized she was about to pass out, she hit the “SOS” button on her satellite messenger. Nanook helped to keep her awake by licking her face. Soon, a helicopter arrived to take her to safety.After that, Nanook’s owner engraved his collar with the words “Crow Pass Guide Dog.” Much later, Swift realized that his dog was not only accompanying other hikers but also saving their lives. Since Milling’s ordeal, Nanook has saved three other hikers. At least, those were the ones that Swift knew about. He soon started a social media page to find other people helped by his young pet. After a few days, dozens of rescue stories started surfacing.The most astonishing fact about Nanook is that he wasn’t trained to be a rescue dog. In fact, he was adopted by Swift at an adopt-a-pet event at a local shopping center parking lot.

Charles Bailey from Cape Breton Island sustained a concussion days before he drove through New Waterford, Nova Scotia. He blacked out at the wheel, causing his truck to collide with a telephone pole. The vehicle tumbled over several times before coming to a stop in the middle of the woods, out of sight from the passing traffic nearby.Bailey spent 10 hours in his truck, completely unconscious. When he came to, he found himself in a bed at a Halifax hospital, recovering from a brain hemorrhage.Even though Bailey has no recollection of the crash, his mother firmly believes that his dog, Dallas, is the reason why he is still alive. His extraordinary dog was by his side the whole time, providing him with heat and keeping some of his limbs from sustaining serious frostbite damage.It was only when Dallas was seen running along the road close to the crashed car that someone was able to find the unconscious man. Along with the brain hemorrhage, Bailey sustained third-degree frostbite damage to his right foot and a fracture in one of his spinal discs. His arm also had to be cut up to release the intense blood pressure.
