The reverberation can’t be noticed visually.

Though, Galaxy M30 with a Super AMOLED display compared to the LCD display on Redmi Note 7 does keep M30 ahead because of the panel and better colour reproduction.

Hardware

Samsung Galaxy M30 has an in-house Exynos 7904 SoC. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 7 Pro outperforms M30 with Snapdragon 675 SoC. Both are Octa-Core CPU units, where Exynos 7904 has two Kryo 260 Gold cores and six Kryo 260 Silver cores.

In comparison, Snapdragon 675 has four Kryo 460 cores and four Kryo 460 Silver cores.

Galaxy M30 with Exynos 7904 can handle day to day tasks easily, but Redmi Note 7 Pro with Snapdragon 675 has an edge with more cores and 11 nm fabrication technology.

Software

Galaxy M30 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS with Samsung’s custom UI. While the Note 7 Pro runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie with custom MIUI 10. Both come with heavy bloatware, but Android 9 Pie on Note 7 Pro is an added advantage.

Galaxy M30 supports up to 512GB and Redmi Note 7 Pro supports up to 256GB.

Samsung has a dedicated slot for the microSD card, while the Note 7 Pro has a hybrid SIM, where it uses slot 2 for memory expansion.

While Redmi Note 7 Pro has a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor and a 5MP depth sensor.

The 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor on the Note 7 Pro outperforms most of the images captured on Galaxy M30. The latest technology offers better colour reproduction with high definition contrast.

Front Camera

The front camera on both the smartphones can capture decent shots. Galaxy M30 has a 16MP selfie camera while the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with a 13MP sensor.

Connectivity

Both the smartphones come with rear fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, Infrared and dual-SIM support.

Battery

Samsung Galaxy M30 runs on a massive 5,000 mAh battery. On the other hand, Note 7 Pro is powered by the same 4,000mAh unit. Snapdragon 675 on the Note 7 Pro will help the smartphone less power run more. Redmi Note 7 Pro also supports 18W fast charging while the M30 supports 15W fast charge.

Samsung ships a 15W fast charger, while Redmi Note 7 Pro offers a standard 10W charger in box.

Pricing

Samsung Galaxy M30 and Redmi Note 7 Pro both are available in two storage options: 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage.

Samsung Galaxy M30 (64GB): Rs 14,990
Samsung Galaxy M30 (128GB): Rs 17,990

Redmi Note 7 Pro (64GB): Rs 13,999
Redmi Note 7 Pro (128GB): Rs 16,999

CONCLUSION: Redmi Note 7 Pro vs Galaxy M30

Samsung has been able to deliver an awesome mid-budget smartphone at the price, but Galaxy M30 can’t stand against Redmi Note 7 Pro’s excellent combination of features.

Samsung Galaxy M30 is not a bad smartphone, neither it’s overpriced, but Redmi Note 7 Pro wins big against Galaxy M30.

The combination of a top processor and a great camera throws Redmi Note 7 way ahead. To wrap up, Samsung Galaxy is a great smartphone at the price, but Note 7 Pro is here to rule the market.

Talking of smartphone designs, OnePlus has never shied away from adopting trends.

From slim bezels on OnePlus 5T to a wide display cutout on OnePlus 6 to a smaller, waterdrop notch on OnePlus 6T, the company has done it all.

And now, if recent leaks are to be believed, OnePlus is taking things a notch up with its upcoming OnePlus 7.

So, how will it be different from OnePlus 6T?

OnePlus 7 v/s OnePlus 6T: What will be the differences?

OnePlus 7 v/s OnePlus 6T: What will be the differences?
OnePlus 7 v/s OnePlus 6T: What will be the differences?

Taking things a notch up, this time with a slider

As per a recent image leak, OnePlus will ditch the waterdrop notch we've come to like on the OnePlus 6T in favor of an all-screen design on the upcoming OnePlus 7.

And to achieve the new design, the company has adopted a slider camera mechanism - similar to Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, Lenovo Z5 Pro and Honor Magic 2. msnTarGet.com

Finally, no more notch-potch.

But the slider comes with some woes

While the slider mechanism allows for an increased screen-to-body ratio, it comes with some concerns (and I am not nit-picking).

Firstly, the slider mechanism (whether manual or motorized), may comprise the uncertified water-resistance that OnePlus offers on its unibody phones like the OnePlus 6T. soas.in

Secondly, the phone will become marginally thicker and possibly more prone to damages in case of odd falls.

Beyond the concerns: What else is changing on OnePlus 7?

The recent OnePlus 7 leak revealed a significantly larger earpiece and the casing showed two cutouts in the slider module.

Interestingly, the cutouts point toward a single selfie camera and possibly an IR sensor that'll fortify the lightning fast face unlock feature. Fun2Ind.com

Moreover, the larger earpiece suggests OnePlus might fit in a speaker to offer immersive audio - an upgrade over 6T's single speaker.

Under the hood changes: More power and faster charging

It's a given that OnePlus 7 will come with the latest 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset - an upgrade from Snapdragon 845 on OnePlus 6T.

The new processor will allow for faster data speeds and image processing as well. MobAsk.com

Further, we expect upto 10GB RAM and upto 256GB of internal storage, and 30W Speed Warp fast charging that debuted with OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition.

Time for triple rear cameras?

OnePlus 6T is a solid flagship killer with top-of-the-line internals, smooth software, great battery life but decent cameras because the phone makes do with the same sensors that we saw on its predecessors.

Now considering that the upcoming iPhone and Galaxy S10 flagships are adopting triple rear cameras, it is possible that OnePlus 7 will once again take on its rivals with matching hardware. MsnTarGet.com

Pricing: Expect a slight uptick over OnePlus 6T's price tag

OnePlus 6T has outshined other flagships not by the high-end specs but with its top performance that comes at a significantly lower cost.

But given the expected upgrades, OnePlus 7 might see an uptick of $50-100 over OnePlus 6T. And that will still be $300-400 less than the likes of Galaxy S10 and iPhone 11. Fun2Ind.com

However, we will know about it in Q2 2019.

Xiaomi Redmi Go official render and full specs , launch
If you have been waiting for Xiaomi’s own Android Go phone, then you are in luck as it seems a launch is happening very soon. The phone already got certified in a number of markets and now it appears it is ready to launch with The Philippines being the first market to get it. soas.in

The official Facebook account for Xiaomi Philippines shared a post a few hours ago teasing the launch of a new phone. The post also has the hashtag #GoSmartDoMore.

Philippino blog Revu.com.ph got a tip that the phone is already listed on online store Lazada and the listing includes a poster with the full specs of the Redmi Go. The poster also has the tag line Go Smart, Do More which means it is the same device teased by Xiaomi on Facebook. MobAsk.com

The Redmi Go can be said to be a redesigned Redmi 4A/Redmi 5A with a few changes and of course less RAM and storage. We are glad it doesn’t have the rear-facing speaker of both phones. Fun2Ind.com

It has a 5.0-inch 1280 x 720 display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and 380 nits of brightness. There is a Snapdragon 425 processor under the hood and it is paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. A dedicated MicroSD card slot will allow you to add up to 128GB of extra storage. MobAsk.com

The Redmi Go has an 8MP f/2.0 camera with HDR and an LED flash on its back. The camera is positioned at the top left corner of the phone. It also has a 5MP f/2.2 front-facing camera.

There is Bluetooth 4.1, single band Wi-Fi, a MicroUSB port, and dual-SIM support. It also has support for 4G LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 20, and 28. Availability of these bands including dual VoLTE and dual 4G will vary between markets.

The Redmi Go packs a 3,000mAh battery and will come with a 5V/1A charger in the box. Unfortunately, it runs Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) and not the latest Android 9 Pie (Go Edition). It will be available in black and blue when it launches. Fun2Ind.com

There is no info on price yet. The one on Lazada is just a placeholder until the phone launches.

Notched Display

Redmi Note 6 Pro will don a notched display, an upgrade over the current 18:9 widescreen display on Redmi Note 5 Pro. Xiaomi has another notched phone available in the country: Redmi 6 Pro. The upcoming Redmi Note 6 Pro will come with a 19:9 notched 6.26-inch Full HD+ display having a screen resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels.

First Xiaomi Smartphone With Four Cameras

Redmi Note 6 Pro is going to be the first Xiaomi smartphone to officially come with four cameras on board. At the back, it will host two cameras: 12-megapixel primary sensor and secondary 5-megapixel sensor. There will be another two on the front as well: 20-megapixel primary lens coupled with a 2-megapixel portrait sensor.

Same Snapdragon Chipset

The next-generation Redmi Note smartphone will come with the same chipset as the predecessor. Qualcomm is yet to announce a successor to its current Snapdragon 636. It was launched in October 2017 built on a 14nm process. The same chipset will power Note 6 Pro again, known for its power, performance, and efficiency.

Two Selfie Cameras

Redmi Note 6 Pro will come with a dual camera setup on the front. Xiaomi says that the two cameras will help to improve imaging capabilities. It will combine the same 20-megapixel Sony sensor from the predecessor backed by a second 2-megapixel sensor for portrait feature to enhance bokeh effects.

MIUI 10 Out Of Box

The smartphone will run on the latest MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Redmi Note 5 Pro also runs on MIUI 10. Some leaks suggest that the smartphone may run Android Pie with the new MIUI, but it’s highly unlikely. Don’t expect Android 9.0 Pie on any Xiaomi smartphone until early 2019.

Design, Camera & Battery To Remain Same

Both Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi Note 6 Pro will be highly similar in nature. Starting from the rear camera to the design language to OS to the 4,000mAh battery, everything will remain same on the new Redmi Note 6 Pro. Only the display has got bigger and there’s an additional camera sensor upfront.

Success Of Redmi Note Phones In India

Every Redmi Note phone in India has been extremely successful. From Redmi Note 3 to Redmi Note 4 to the current Redmi Note 5 Pro, every smartphone from each of the generation has been a bestseller in the Indian market. 5 million units of Redmi Note 5 Pro was sold within 4 months of its launch. So, the expectations are going to be high with Redmi Note 6 Pro as well.

Redmi Note 6 Pro Price In India

The smartphone has been launched in Thailand for a starting price of 6,990 Baht, which roughly translates to INR 15,550. We expect the smartphone to be priced even lower given the current competition available in the market.

Redmi Note 6 Pro Variants

The smartphone is globally available in three storage variants: 64GB internal storage with 4GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage with 4GB of RAM. In India, the company RN6 Pro may launch in two variants, both with 64GB storage and altered RAM capacity.

Redmi Note 6 Pro Competition In India

The smartphone will face direct heat from current mid-range budget smartphones like Realme 2 Pro and Honor 8X. Backed by improved features and specifications, there are better smartphones available in the same price category. If Redmi Note 6 Pro is not priced aggressively, it will have a hard time in the market this time around.

Redmi Note 6 Pro is scheduled to launch on November 22 in three color variations of Blue, Black and Rose Gold with a Red edition later.
