हिंदी फिल्मों के हीरो के तमाम गुणों को समेटे टाइगर श्रॉफ ने जब पहली बार सिल्वर स्क्रीन पर दस्तक दी थी, तो मासूम चेहरे के कारण उनकी सफलता पर शक किया गया, मगर जैसे ही पहली ही फ़िल्म ‘हीरोपंती’ में टाइगर की प्रतिभा की पोटली खुलनी शुरू हुई, सबकी आंखें खुली रह गयी। टाइगर ने शानदार अभिनय, जोरदार डांस और दमदार एक्शन से सबको अपना मुरीद बना लिया। सिर्फ तीन फ़िल्म पुराने टाइगर आज नयी पीढ़ी के भरोसेमंद स्टार कलाकार बन चुके हैं।

फ़िल्मी पृष्ठभूमि में पले-बढ़े होने के बावजूद कभी स्टार-सन होने का गुरुर उनमें नहीं आया। इसकी वजह उनकी परवरिश है। पिता जैकी श्रॉफ के बिंदास व्यक्तित्व की  छत्रछाया में टाइगर का बचपन बीता। टाइगर का मौलिक नाम जय हेमन्त श्रॉफ़ है। मुम्बई के अमेरिकन स्कूल ऑफ बॉम्बे और एमिटी यूनिवर्सिटी से पढ़ाई पूरी करने के बाद टाइगर ने फिल्मों में प्रवेश के लिए खुद पर मेहनत करना शुरू किया। मार्शल आर्ट में टाइगर की विशेष रुचि है। जिम्नास्टिक में भी वे पारंगत हैं। जिम्नास्टिक पृष्ठभूमि होने के कारण वे हमेशा चुस्ती-फुर्ती और ऊर्जा से भरे रहते हैं।
प्रवेश
हिंदी फिल्मों में प्रवेश के लिए टाइगर काफी पहले से तैयार थे, इसलिए उनके डेब्यू को लेकर कयासों का बाज़ार अर्से से गर्म था। कभी कहा गया कि टाइगर धारावाहिक ‘फौजी’ के रीमेक से डेब्यू करेंगे, तो कभी सुभाष घई के ‘हीरो’ के रीमेक से टाइगर के डेब्यू की बात कही गयी।..मगर टाइगर ने अपनी डेब्यू फ़िल्म के रूप में साजिद नाडियाडवाला की ‘हीरोपंती’ को चुना। पहली ही फ़िल्म में टाइगर ने अभिनय, नृत्य और एक्शन का ऐसा जादू चलाया कि ‘हीरोपंती’ उस वर्ष की सफल फिल्मों में शामिल हो गयी। और इस तरह हिंदी फिल्मों को टाइगर के रूप में एक और स्टार अभिनेता मिल गया।

 

प्रेरणा
पापा जैकी श्रॉफ को टाइगर अपने जीवन की प्रेरणा मानते हैं, मगर फ़िल्मी फ्रंट पर उनकी प्रेरणा कोई और है। जहां तक एक्शन की बात है, तो टाइगर अपने प्रिय जैकी चैन से प्रेरित होते हैं। वह बताते हैं-जैकी चैन मेरी प्रेरणा हैं। मुझे ऐसा लगता है कि मैं उनका एक प्रतिशत भी नहीं हूं। मैं एक्शन दृश्यों में रचनात्मकता के लिए कड़ी मेहनत कर रहा हूं।’ अक्षय कुमार से भी टाइगर बेहद प्रभावित हैं। वह कहते हैं-मुझे अक्षय सर ने साफ शब्दों में कहा है कि कोई भी ऐसा स्टंट मत करना, जिससे तुम्हारी सेहत का जोखिम खड़ा हो जाए। मैं उनकी बात पर अमल करता हूं। सच कहूं तो मुझे अक्षय सर से काफी प्रेरणा मिलती है।’ …मगर सही मायने में टाइगर के आदर्श रितिक रोशन हैं। वह कहते हैं-फिल्म-जगत में रितिक सर मेरे आदर्श हैं। मैं उनके जैसा करिअर ग्राफ बनाना चाहता हूं। जब भी मैं उनसे मिला तो मुझे लगा कि मैं उनके ही जैसा हूं, क्योंकि काम में वह हर छोटी से छोटी चीज पर ध्यान देते हैं, छोटी-छोटी बातों पर तनाव लेते हैं। मैंने उनसे बहुत कुछ सीखा। मैं उनके क्राफ्ट की समझदारी, एक्शन और शरीर की भाषा का बहुत सम्मान करता हूं।’

श्रद्धा की नजर में
टाइगर जैसा कोई हो ही नहीं सकता। ‘बागी’ की शूट के दौरान उन्होंने मेरा काफी मनोबल बढ़ाया। इतना ही नहीं, फिल्म में टाइगर के साथ काम कर के काफी मदद मिली और कई टिप्स भी मिले जो मेरे लिए काफी मददगार साबित हुए। मुझे याद है स्कूल के दौरान टाइगर बास्केटबॉल खेलते थे और वे काफी एनर्जेटिक और फोकस्ड रहते थे। फिल्म की शूटिंग के दौरान भी उनकी गंभीरता मुझे साफ देखने को मिली।

Hrithik Roshan, who was spending time with his sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan and ex-wife Sussanne Khan post the release of Kaabil in 2017, is back to work. The actor will begin the Varanasi schedule of Anand Kumar biopic Super 30 from today. The film is based on mathematician Anand Kumar’s life. Anand, who is based in Patna, is popular for tutoring IIT aspirants who belong to a less privileged background. Hrithik’s first look as the ace mathematician Anand took social media by storm on Tuesday morning. Donning a thick beard and rough hair, Hrithik seems to have slipped easily into his character of a teacher in the Vikas Bahl directorial.

The Greek god (as Hrithik’s die-hard fans like to address him), who has been instrumental in giving the Hindi film industry some of the blockbusters with his brilliant acting chops, has been prepping up for the film and has even met the Patna-based IIT tutor to understand the intricacies of his character. According to a report in Pune Mirror, Hrithik will be heading to Patna and Banaras for the next schedule of the biopic where he will shoot 10 days each. In May, the last schedule of the film will be in Patna but the major portion of the film will be shot in Mumbai. Vikas Bahl is planning to recreate the three cities in Mumbai itself. Earlier mathematician Anand had said that he is hopeful about the film since Hrithik is deeply passionate about the project. “I am happy that Hrithik will play me because he is the best choice for the role. His dedication towards his work and the kind of versatility he exhibits as an actor is very inspiring. Being a rooted and passionate person myself, I feel that he will bring an emotional depth to my life on screen, “said Anand in an earlier interview. Super 30, helmed by Queen fame Vikas Bahl, is scheduled to hit the theaters on January 25, 2019. The female lead of the film is yet to be announced.

Matt Rife ia 21-year-old American actor and comedian.

Born in Ohio, Matt kicked off his stand-up comedy career at the age of 15 and has performed at The Laugh Factory in Hollywood.

He also stars on Nick Cannon Presents Wild ‘N Out on MTV.

It’s reported that Matt and Kate met through mutual friends.

According to Entertainment Tonight he is “well loved” with her close circle of friends.

Matt is 22 years young than Kate, 43.

Matt and Kate came out with their romance when they were caught locked in a passionate kiss in West Hollywood.

A source told Entertainment Tonight  they are “officially boyfriend and girlfriend”.

They added: “They quickly started flirting, went on their first date and it’s continued since.

“Everyone in Kate’s circle loves Matt and are so supportive of this relationship.

“He really is the sweetest guy and makes her so happy. Her entire family thinks he is the nicest and most lovely person.”

Tonight in Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki  we see that Abhishek gets into a bet with his friends. Before he could start his competition he says goodbye to Tanuja and his daughter Natasha as they leave for home. To complete his bet Abhishek drinks ten shots he was asked to drink. After he gets dizzy, he gets comfortable with one of his old lady friends.

Meanwhile when Tanuja puts Natasha to bed she asks her who Rishi is. When Tanuja doesn’t give an answer she says that she can let it go and goes to sleep. Her question however brings memories to Tanuja. She recalls all of the good and the bad moments spent with Rishi.

On the other side Rishi looks at the moon and thinks about Tanuja. Netra asks him to stop looking at the moon and missing Tanuja. Abhishek spends the night with his friend and he freaks out when he realizes that his friend intends to marry him. He tells his friend that he is a married man and he can’t give her the happiness of being his wife. He tells her that he has a small 7 year old daughter and he has to be with her. He says that he hates his wife but he needs to stay married to her for the sake of his daughter. Suddenly Tanuja comes to the hotel room and starts to create a drama. Tanuja gets furious with Abhishek and slaps him for cheating on her.

After Karla, his lady friend leaves, Abhishek gives a high five to Tanuja and tells her that she is making his life easy. To get rid of Karla he texted Tanuja to come to his hotel room and pretend to be his wife. Tanuja says that she feels bad for his friend. Abhishek tells her that she is his best friend and he loves the fact that she supports him in all of his flings.

Meanwhile in the  Bedi Enterprises, Manpreet loses his cool on Abhishek Khurana. He tells Rishi that he is the new takeover king in the market and he is buying the shares of their company too. He tells Rishi that he has already acquired 20 percent shares and if he will succeed in taking five more, he will become a board member. He gets freaked out thinking about the fact that Abhishek Khurana will be the decision making authority of Bedi Enterprises.

Next day in the morning Tanuja expresses anger towards Abhishek. She tells him that she feels bad for Karla. Suddenly Abhishek tells Tanuja that there is a reason why he didn’t get married till now. He says that the reason is her and he doesn’t want her to go away from him. He also tells Tanuja that she is safe with him as no man will approach her with false intentions since she has a married status.

Rishi asks Manpreet to find out everything about Abhishek Khurana. Rishi plans it with Manpreet that the person who is taking over his companies should get an answer in return.

Super Singh movie cast: Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Pawan Malhotra

Ever superhero has his special powers — one can fly, another is indestructible while the third one is all-powerful. Now take everything you have ever watched in DC and Marvel, give it a quick mixer-grinder treatment and pronto, we have Diljit Dosanjh in and as Super Singh. He can fly, he can kick balls (literally and figuratively) and he is out to save the world. But when you meet him in a dark theatre, all spandex and machismo, the superpower that actually keeps you seated for 170 minutes is his comic timings. Diljit’s hero sure knows how to tell a joke and he will keep you laughing through this film. Now that is quite a strategy, keep your CGI and special effects Hollywood, we will laugh you out of the competition.

Because let us face it, the special effects in this superhero caper are a joke. There is a moment when Super Singh emerges holding a luxury liner from the water and you laugh so much it hurts. The good part is that just like the audience, neither he nor the film take himself or his superpowers seriously in most of the film. He will thwart a burglary attempt with the same countenance as he will help an old woman with her shopping bags with 3 kg potato, two kg onions and 3 garlic pods. After his first attempt at being a superhero, he actually gets a bunch of bananas and $51 as shagun!

Diljit’s charm also keeps your attention away from the film’s wafer-thin plot and a villain — we won’t tell you who it is — who hams so much, he is his own meme. Every time you realise just how huge the craters are in the screenplay, Diljit tells a joke and all’s right with the film. That is till Diljit and his Super Singh realise that with great power comes great responsibility. From Canada where he is an amiable misfit wooing a white Cheerleader with jokes and bhangra, he lands in drug-addled Punjab where leaders — political or religious — are out to fleece and fool people. The film goes south from there.

The cliched climax which seems to have been lifted from a bad 80s actioner does not help the film either. By this time, you are tired of how the film has been thrusting moral lessons down your throat too. The message about religion feel forced and start getting preachy, especially towards the end. But the director, Anurag Singh, sure knows his target audience. Whether it is Punjab or NRI audience, they are going to love the first Punjabi superhero, comes as he does with Diljit Dosanjh’s innate charm and man-boy persona.

But next time Super Singh goes on his quests to save the world, and he will, given the promise of sequel is very much there in Super Singh, we strongly advise him to carry a hand sanitiser. Or find a planet with toilet on it.

Is Super Singh then the first regional superhero movie? Tamil director S. Shankar’s Anniyan, although more vigilante than superhero, could qualify as a contender for this title.

But if Super Singh, which released on 16 June, can indisputably lay claim to something, it’s to being the cheapest superhero movie made in India. It had a budget of around Rs10 crore—the kind of money generally reserved for just the marketing of an average Hindi film (A Flying Jatt reportedly cost Rs45 crore). And yet, it took about two years to find a producer for Super Singh, says Diljit Dosanjh, who has starred in this film as well as Hindi films such as Udta Punjab and Phillauri.

We meet at the Juhu office of Balaji Motion Pictures, where a man wearing a Superman T-shirt serves tea and snacks.

“Three years back,” continues Dosanjh, “this wouldn’t have been possible. And even today, it wouldn’t have been possible had Balaji not agreed to produce it. None of the Punjabi producers said yes.”

Why? Because the lowest-budget superhero movie is also, quite possibly, the most expensive Punjabi film ever made. “Punjabi cinema doesn’t have that kind of budget, neither do we have that many screens or a wide audience,” says Dosanjh. The 33-year-old actor and the director, Anurag Singh, with whom he has worked thrice before, have delivered some of Punjabi cinema’s biggest blockbusters—Jatt & Juliet (2012) and Jatt & Juliet 2 (2013), made with a budget of Rs3 crore and Rs6 crore, respectively. They are considered to be among the recent Punjabi movies that have rejuvenated the local film industry.

“We are a small, nascent industry. I think it has got to do with the fact that the state has gone through troubled times politically,” Singh says later, over the phone. “Another reason is that the kind of films that were being made were the B-grade, action-movie types which sent the audience, especially the family audience, away. As a result, a lot of theatres started to shut down.”

It may be a stretch but one could argue that this may have had something to do with the fact that the mainstream Hindi film narrative has been skewed heavily towards Punjabi representation. And that it fulfilled the cinematic cravings of its local audience.

In the last few years, however, things have been looking up for the Punjabi film industry. The prospect of an emerging new film market would have attracted Balaji to produce Super Singh despite the fact that last year’s production, A Flying Jatt, wasn’t a commercial success. “There has been a late multiplex boom in the state. Places beyond big cities, such as Moga, Kotkapura, have multiplexes of their own,” says Singh.

It is not surprising then that the budget shaped the kind of superhero film Super Singh would become. “Had we had a bigger budget, we would’ve made another kind of superhero film. It would’ve probably been darker,” he says. Instead, Dosanjh and Singh decided to make a light-hearted movie.

It all started with a joke. “Some fans had superimposed my face on to a superhero costume. Somehow, the idea of a Sikh superhero seemed improbable and funny. I found it interesting,” says Dosanjh. For instance, you don’t feel the baffling absence of a super-villain in the promo of Super Singh because the gags, set to a bouncy, pop soundtrack, seem fun, original and localized. One scene has Dosanjh, all suited up, scratching his back with a stick before taking the plunge from the roof of a skyscraper in Montreal—it makes both cultural and business sense for modern Punjabi films to take their hero to Canada. In another scene, an aunt suggests he should think of branding himself better, like Batman, or Doraemon.

When asked about the superhero movies he likes, Dosanjh picks Deadpool (adding Hancock, as an afterthought), whose casual self-awareness—if not its morbid adult humour—seems to have rubbed off on to the family-friendly Super Singh. “It’s not that I don’t like the others, like The Dark Knight, but Deadpool made me realize that this is how it could be done as well. Why so serious?” says Dosanjh, who has seen quite a transformation himself—from a folk artist to the region’s biggest movie star.

However, the real test of a superhero movie is the action scenes involving special effects. In the scenes where Dosanjh is seen chasing a rocket or saving a ship from sinking, the special effects look solid. The movie, says Dosanjh, has used minimal VFX. “We couldn’t let our imagination run wild and had to strike a balance between what we wanted and what was possible. We worked with a small studio, Flying Flames, who were involved with us right from the start and gave their 200% to it,” says Singh. Dosanjh adds, “One thing we were careful about from the beginning is that we didn’t want the special effects to be laughed at.”

I bring up Baahubali 2: The Conclusion , the recent box-office behemoth that is supposed to have changed the game for regional cinema in India. Has the phenomenon of S.S. Rajamouli’s Telugu blockbuster, and last year’s Marathi film Sairat, opened up possibilities for a regional film beyond its linguistic border?

With about 700 screens worldwide, says Singh, Super Singh is billed as one of the widest Punjabi movie releases. Dosanjh and Singh are careful about comparisons—“Baahubali 2’s earnings are much more than the entire valuation of the Punjabi film industry,” says Singh—but agree that a regional film doesn’t have a limited life, as it used to.

“Today, our audience is watching everything on Netflix and the Internet,” says Dosanjh. “Even when we are making a Punjabi movie, we are always aware that we don’t know who is watching us.”

You have already met the men of Ajay Devgn’s badass Baadsaho gang. Now is the time to meet the lady of the gang, Ileana D’Cruz. After Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi and Vidyut Jammwal, the makers of the film have released the first look of Ileana in Milan Luthria directorial, Baadshaho. Ileana herself shared the poster of the film on Instagram account. “Bold, Beautiful & Badass! You don’t want to mess with her!” wrote Ileana who looks more poised than rugged and evil in the new poster.

While we were left intrigued with the intense look on Ajay, Emraan and Vidyut’s face in the earlier released character posters, this one has left us confused on how will the elegant and the royal Ileana fit into the role of a gangster. Baadshaho is a story set in the backdrop of 1975 Emergency but has no real life incident to narrate. “1975 Emergency… 96 hours… 600km… 1 Armored truck… Millions in Gold and 6 BADASSES,” these words on the posters have already intrigued audience.

Rustom actor, Ileana, has earlier revealed that the film is incredibly special for her. When she wrapped up the shoot of the film, she took to her social media account to share a picture with her co-actor Ajay Devgn and wrote, “#Baadshaho was incredibly special   can’t believe I’ve finished filming for it already…the people on it were beautiful though & u will all hold a very special place in my heart .”

Filmmaker Milan Luthria was appreciated when he came out with his gangster saga, Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai in 2010. Also, Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi got their acts right in the film and people loved the two gangster characters played by them. Now with both the actors coming back together after seven years with new additions, Vidyut Jammwal, Ileana D’Cruz and Esha Gupta to their gang, it will be interesting to see whose gun will do the magic on the silver screen.

Filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia’s much-awaited film Raag Desh is all set to hit the screens on July 28 this year. The film, which stars Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh and Mohit Marwah in the lead role, is based on the Indian National Army trials during World War II. The director, who is known for films like Bullet Raja and Shagird to name a few, launched his project last year during the month of July.

Mohit Marwah, who made it to the industry with Fugly, wrote on Instagram, “First look poster of my next film! Honoured to be a part of this great subject! Gear up for some patriotism -in cinemas 28th July Raagdesh indiannationalarmy.”

Talking about the project, Tigmanshu spoke about how hard it is to make a film on INA trials. The director said, “Doing a subject like this is not possible in this industry. If I go to a producer and say that I want to make a film on Indian National Army that person will send me back home.”

The film is based on three officers from the British Indian Army, Colonel Prem Sehgal, Colonel Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon, and Major General Shah Nawaz Khan, who were prisoners of war in Malaya, Singapore and Burma respectively. While Mohit would portray the character of Colonel Prem Sehgal, Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor will play Colonel Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon, and Major General Shah Nawaz Khan respectively.

Director Puri Jagannadh on Friday revealed the title of his upcoming film, starring Tollywood star Balakrishna in the lead role as Paisa Vasool. Along with the name of the movie, the director also released a couple of first look posters. The announcement comes on the eve of Balakrishna’s 57th birthday. The film is the 101st film in his long and illustrious career. Going by the posters, the film will be a typical Puri film, with larger-than-life dialogues and action sequences that would match the onscreen image of Balakrishna.

The filmmakers reportedly have plans to release Paisa Vasool on September 29. The shooting of the film is going on at a steady pace. The film crew flew to Portugal in May for a 40-day schedule, where the filmmakers will shoot a few fight sequences, 3 songs and some important scenes in the film. The filmmakers are expected to complete their foreign schedule by the third week of June and fly down to Hyderabad, where the last schedule of the film will get underway immediately.

Back in 1989, Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal in their film “When Harry Met Sally..” set out on a journey to find out if men and women can be friends. Cut to 2017, Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma’s new film titled “Jab Harry Met Sejal” seems to be grappling with matters of heart and mind. The title is also reminiscent of Imtiaz’s movie “Jab We Met” starring Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor. Imtiaz Ali, the man who is often credited with breathing a new life into romance in Hindi movies has come up with his new movie. Makers have released the first two looks of the film and they seem vibrant, if not impressive.

In one look, Shah Rukh Khan, dressed in a pair of crisp white shirt and denim, can be seen along with a sprightly Anushka Sharma. Shah Rukh, with his hands up in the air, is tapping his foot on some dance number (that we will find out soon). Another look has Shah Rukh and Anushka having a gala time in some European city. Since it’s an Imtiaz Ali film, you expect a certain amount of depth to the story. Both looks carry a Europe map in the backdrop, suggesting that Shah Rukh and Anushka will take you to some breathtaking locales of Europe. What also intrigues us is the use of Rumi’s famous line on one look: “What you seek is seeking you”. We only hope that the line is not a mere prop in the film but woven within the story. Both stars have shared the first look on Twitter.

Imtiaz Ali in an interview to Pinkvilla spoke of why he used Rumi’s quote in the film. “Although I thought I will not be using any quotation from Rumi anymore, in my movie, then I can’t help it because it is so appropriate that everything I am trying to say in this movie is really what you seek is seeking you. It is a dialogue in the film, you will be surprised when you see it. So it is bang on,” Imtiaz said.

The film is extensively shot in some of the most beautiful cities (also with a lot of history) of Europe including Amsterdam and Prague. “Travelling” is almost used as a character in an Imtiaz Ali film. Shah Rukh is reportedly playing a womaniser in the film and it will be interesting to see if Imtiaz is able to extract something new from the actor who is entrapped in a certain ‘romantic’ image. Will we finally see Shah Rukh setting his foot in an uncharted territory? We will have to wait for that. But as of now, the posters surely raise our curiosity. The film will release on August 4.
