Unlike sharing photos, videos, GIFs and documents with your friends in a personal or group chat, the photos and videos shared in WhatsApp status cannot be downloaded. WhatsApp Statuses are perishable by nature. Hence, WhatsApp does not offer an “official” way to save these shares. Of course, you can take a screenshot of a photo and record the video using a screen recorder. But the quality of those photos, GIFs, and videos decreases. soas.in

Don’t worry, here we brought you a few methods to save photos, GIFs, and videos from WhatsApp status on your phone.

How to Download WhatsApp Status on your Smartphone:

Most of us have WhatsApp and Facebook installed on our phone and in case of loss or theft of the phone, one should swiftly take necessary action to avoid any misuse of your WhatsApp account. Lost your SIM or phone? Use this simple trick to recover your WhatsApp account

Here's what you should do:

If your phone is lost, you should immediately get your SIM blocked by calling the telecom service provider. You can either do it by using someone else's phone or visiting the nearest outlet of the service provider. You should carry all the necessary identification documents.

Getting your SIM blocked doesn't mean that your WhatsApp has been blocked. WhatsApp can be operated even when the number is blocked.

The next step is to get a new SIM with the same number. For this, you will have to prove your identity by using IDs like Voter ID, Passport or Aadhaar.

Once you have the new SIM card, you need to activate your WhatsApp on another device. Since WhatsApp cannot be used simultaneously on two devices, it will log you off from the stolen device. Thereafter, you will be able to use your WhatsApp from the new device.

If you have your other social media apps like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter login into your stolen device, you must change your password.

The users can check TestFlight Page for availability for new WhatsApp beta slots for iOS beta apps. In the new beta version, WhatsApp is said to have allowed users to use any stickers on images, videos and GIFs. Also, any personal sticker from the private collection would be resizable as per the user's wish.

You will able to choose stickers received in your chats if you marked them as a favourite, says Wabetainfo. The beta version for iOS seeks to enable "Reply Privately" feature, which was announced earlier for Android 2.18.335 beta update. This option is now being tested for iOS. Currently, this option was available for iOS when the user wants to reply to a message from a group where he/she is no longer a participant. The Facebook-owned app has now extended this benefit to any type of participant. MobAsk.CoM

The new beta version for iOS allows users to "peek and pop cells on the section Status", says the report. This means the user can quickly see the preview of the status updates published by contacts when the device supports 3D Touch technology. Fun2INd.CoM

The latest beta version of iOS also makes managing grouped stickers easier.   WhatsApp came up with many new updates to stay ahead last year. The messaging app launched features like WhatsApp Business, WhatsApp web and desktop, WhatsApp Group calling, and WhatsApp Document sharing, among others. soas.in

WhatsApp has also built end-to-end encryption into the latest versions of its app. When end-to-end encrypted, your messages and calls are secured so only you and the person you're communicating with can read or listen to them, and nobody in between, not even WhatsApp.

How to restore your WhatsApp account in case you lose your phone or its gets stolen

How to restore your WhatsApp account in case you lose your phone or its gets stolen
How to restore your WhatsApp account in case you lose your phone or its gets stolen
Here's a step-by-step guide that you need to follow in case your smartphone is lost or stolen to secure your WhatsApp account msnTarGet.CoM.

1. The first thing to do in this case is to lock your SIM card by calling your mobile service provider. Once you have done this, it will not be possible to for anyone to authenticate the account on that handset. This is because it is necessary to get an SMS or phone call to certify the account associated to your number. And since the SIM will be deactivated, the person who is in possession of your device will not be able to use it.

2. After getting your SIM locked, you can now activate your WhatsApp on a different handset. The fastest way to do this is to use a SIM card with the same number. Remember, WhatsApp can be activated only on one device at a time on a phone number soas.in.

3. Another option is to send an email to the WhatsApp team. In case, you go for this option, include the sentence "Lost/stolen: Deactivate my account" in the body of the email, along with your phone number. Give these details with your country code. Also, remember to write your number exactly as you have it saved in your smartphone.

One more thing to note here is that WhatsApp can also be operated using Wi-Fi even if the SIM card is not present inside the handset so it is necessary to contact WhatsApp team and get your account deactivated. As it is also not possible to disable WhatsApp from any other device. WhatsApp is not able to find the location of the lost handset. Users have a 30-day window to reactivate this account. After a month, the account will be completely erased. In case your contacts send you messages during this period, they will remain pending, but will get erased after 30 days. mobask.com

If you had backed up your chats using Google Drive, iCloud or any other cloud solution before your phone went missing, you might be able to restore your chat history.
