If you’re looking for a smartphone with 512GB of built-in storage, there’s only one such device to buy right now, and it’s hardly affordable. But that might change later this summer when the Galaxy Note 9 arrives. A new report says that “lucky” buyers will be able to score Galaxy Note 9 versions sporting 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, which would be a notable achievement for Samsung.
The “lucky” part seems to suggest that only specific markets will receive this particular version, with China likely being one of them. After all, Samsung did make custom phones for China, whether we’re talking about colors or memory and storage upgrades. If the report is accurate, this Galaxy Note 9 model will have as much RAM as the OnePlus 6, which currently outperforms the Galaxy S9 in benchmark tests.
The 512GB Galaxy Note you’ve been waiting for is in the works
As for total storage, the Galaxy Note 9 is likely to support microSD cards of up to 400GB, which means the maximum storage would be at almost 1TB for the 512GB model. The 512GB Galaxy Note 9 will be the most expensive Galaxy Note 9 option in those markets where Samsung will make it available. A few days ago, a recent benchmark test for the Exynos 9810 version suggested that the base Galaxy Note 9 model will have 6GB of RAM. It’s likely that the cheapest Galaxy Note 9 will have 64GB of storage. The Galaxy Note 9 is expected to be unveiled this summer, with some reports saying the phone is coming earlier than anticipated.

It took nearly 5 months but as of Tuesday, we finally have two new 2018 flagship Android phones that showcase the level of design and performance we expect from smartphones this year. The first is the Galaxy S9, which back in mid-March. Sales haven’t been as impressive as earlier Galaxy S flagship phones from Samsung, but that’s due largely to the fact that the design of the phone is almost identical to last year’s model. That has prevented Galaxy S8 owners from upgrading, but the S9 is a fantastic choice for anyone else. Then we have the hot new OnePlus 6 flagship phones that is available to order beginning today. The OnePlus 6 is not without its shortcomings, but it’s by far the most powerful smartphone on the planet right now. If you want to learn more about these great smartphones, be sure to read my OnePlus 6 review and my Galaxy S9 review. If you’re in the market for a new handset, the bottom line is that either phone makes a fantastic upgrade to whichever Android phone you might be using now. Since these are the two latest and greatest flagship Android phones, however, many people are going to be torn between the two. In this post, I’ll dig into the biggest pros and cons with each phone model so you can make the best decision to suit your wants and needs. In terms of earnings performance, Samsung is in the midst of a phenomenal run right now. Unlike Apple, however, it’s due largely to booming sales in the company’s various components divisions and not smartphones sales. This is turning out to be fortunate for Samsung because everything we’ve seen and heard suggests that sales of the Galaxy S9 have fallen well short of expectations. In fact, three of the four major US wireless carriers slashed the prices of Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ within a month of releasing them. As I mentioned before, slow Galaxy S9 sales are not an indication that the phone itself has issues. Instead, Galaxy S8 owners are reluctant to upgrade because the Galaxy S9 shares the same external design as last year’s Samsung flagship. The phone itself is fantastic, however, and it should definitely be near the top of your list if you don’t already have a Galaxy S8.
OnePlus 6 vs. Galaxy S9: Which Android flagship should you buy?

Samsung Galaxy S9

First and foremost, the Galaxy S9’s biggest strength remains its display. The Super AMOLED screen on Samsung’s latest flagship is by far the most stunning smartphone display I have ever seen — and I’ve seen just about every smartphone display there is to see. The iPhone X is a close second since it also packs one of Samsung Display’s OLED panels, but it’s still no match for the S9. There is nothing else on the market that can match the brightness, clarity, and vividness of Samsung’s screen on the Galaxy S9. Nothing. It’s jaw-dropping. Almost every interaction we have with a smartphone involves looking at the screen, so this is obviously among the most crucial pieces of the smartphone experience. Another benefit the Galaxy S9 has over the OnePlus 6 is screen size. While the 6.2-inch display on the Galaxy S9+ is about the same size as the 6.28-inch screen on the OnePlus 6, Samsung offers choice. Even with the almost-all-screen designs these phones tout, they’re both quite large and difficult to use comfortably with one hand. Samsung also offers a more compact Galaxy S9 with a 5.8-inch screen, which is a wonderful size for a more comfortable handset. In my book, Samsung also wins where design is concerned. Yes, the Galaxy S9 looks just like the Galaxy S8 the company released in 2017. Is that really such a bad thing, though? If you have a Galaxy S8 it might be. But coming from any other phone, the Galaxy S9 is a huge upgrade.
The curved glass sides on the front and back look incredible, and they also make the phone feel much better in the hand. It’s probably my favorite design among every available Android phone right now. Also of note, the Galaxy S9 is the only new Android flagship out there right now with an original design, since every other phone of note is basically an iPhone X clone. Finally, the camera is another important check in the win column for Samsung’s Galaxy S9. Since Trump’s White House pressured wireless carriers and retailers to dump Huawei phones, the P20 Pro isn’t widely available in the United States (though you can buy one here if you want). With that phone pretty much out of the picture, Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ have the best camera you can get right now. Samsung’s Super Speed Dual Pixel camera might have an odd name, but performance is what matters and this camera is incredible. Clarity and low-light performance are the best I’ve seen on a smartphone, and the detail Samsung’s latest camera captures is unmatched. OnePlus did a great job improving camera performance on the OnePlus 6 compared to last year’s OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T, but it’s still no match for Samsung’s Galaxy S9.
OnePlus 6 The Galaxy S9 is indeed an impressive smartphone, but the new OnePlus 6 has it beat in a number of key areas. First and foremost, the OnePlus 6 offers performance that is unmatched right now. Samsung’s flagship is no slouch, but the OnePlus 6 makes even better use of the same Snapdragon 645 processor and supports it with more memory — up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. As I mentioned in my OnePlus 6 review on Monday, this phone’s benchmarks are off the charts. More important than benchmark performance on paper, the OnePlus 6 feels faster when you use it. I hit a few minor speed bumps here and there when I reviewed the Galaxy S9, but nothing I threw at the OnePlus 6 was able to trip it up. The OnePlus 6 is also faster during regular usage, as illustrated in the OnePlus 6 vs. Galaxy S9 speed test we showed you on Monday. Speed is important but so is overall user experience, and the OnePlus 6 is much closer to stock Android than the Galaxy S9. Samsung has dialed down its software add-ons in recent years, but the company still makes tons of changes to Android. Meanwhile, the software on the OnePlus 6 could easily be mistaken for stock Android Oreo until you dig into the settings to find OnePlus’ various available customizations. Also important about the software on the OnePlus 6 is the fact that OnePlus has a better track record with Android updates.
Samsung is big and slow. On top of that, most Samsung phones in the US are sold through wireless carriers that further delay software updates. Meanwhile, OnePlus sells directly to consumers so there’s nothing standing in the way of its updates. Project Treble in Android Oreo should help speed up the Android update process across the board, but we still expect much more timely updates from OnePlus than from Samsung. In fact, you can already run the Android P beta on your OnePlus 6. Last but certainly not least, we have a huge win for the OnePlus 6 over Samsung’s Galaxy S9: price. Even after its price was slashed at most major carriers last month, the Galaxy S9 is still a very expensive phone. The Galaxy S9 costs $720 for a 64GB model with 4GB of RAM, and it tops out at $840 for the 256GB version. Meanwhile the Galaxy S9+ with the same size display as the OnePlus 6 starts at $840 for 64GB of storage and goes up to $960 for the 256GB model. The OnePlus 6 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage costs just $529, nearly $200 less than an S9 and a whopping $311 less than the Galaxy S9+, which is the better comparison since the screens are almost the same size. The 128GB OnePlus 6 with 8GB of RAM costs $579, and a 256GB model with 8GB of RAM costs $629 — that’s $331 less than a comparable Galaxy S9+.

Not to keep beating a dead horse, but we have every indication that Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones have been quite disappointing thus far. The phones themselves are fantastic, as anyone who has one will confirm. We also sang them high praise in our in-depth Galaxy S9 review. The design is sleek, albeit familiar, but the performance is outstanding and the camera is one of the best we’ve ever seen. Samsung has undoubtedly sold plenty of Galaxy S9 and S9+ phones since they were released, but sales seemingly haven’t lived up to the company’s expectations or to analysts’ expectations. We’ve seen numerous reports that sales have been disappointing so far, but all the evidence we needed to see was the fact that major wireless carriers in the United States slashed Galaxy S9 and S9+ prices just one month after the phones were released. Ouch.
New Galaxy S10 brings the exciting news we’ve been waiting for
Attention had initially turned to the Galaxy Note 9 expected to launch this coming August in the hopes that it might have some exciting new features to offer. Sadly, those hopes may have been extinguished last week. The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ feature designs that are nearly identical to their predecessors, and the Note 9 is expected to follow suit. Some reports suggested the phone might include at least one novel new feature to compensate for its familiar design, but then we learned last week from a solid source that won’t be the case. It’s certainly disappointing for Samsung fans, but we have some good news: A new report suggests the hotly anticipated new Galaxy S10 will include the exciting new feature everyone has been waiting for.
Sorry, Samsung fans, but it appears as though the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 will not include in in-display fingerprint sensor. A number of rumors over the past few months suggested it might, but a reliable source said last week that Samsung simply couldn’t pull it off. As a result, it’s looking more and more like we can expect the Note 9 to be to last year’s Galaxy Note 8 what the S9 and S9+ are to the Galaxy S8 and S8+. In a nutshell, they’re iterative updates that look almost exactly like their predecessors, just like Apple used to do with its “S” model iPhones. The news is certainly a let down to people who had been eagerly anticipating the Galaxy Note 9. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, however. According to a new report from South Korea’s Chosun Economy, the upcoming Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ will include this exciting new feature. Samsung’s current flagship phones feature an Infinity display design, where the screen takes up most of the front of the phones.
In order to achieve this design, Samsung had to eliminate the home button and move the phones’ fingerprint sensors to the back. Beginning with the Galaxy S10, however, the fingerprint sensor will be built into the display itself. This technology is commonly referred to as FOD, or “fingerprint on display,” and we’ve seen the tech pop up on a few phones before. If this report pans out, however, the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ will be the first widely available phones from a big-name vendor to include new ultrasonic fingerprint sensors in their displays. Now, for the bad news: we’ll remind you that the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ likely won’t be released until nearly a year from now. The Galaxy S9 and S9+ were released in March of this year, and it’s likely that they Galaxy S10 and S10+ will hit store shelves around the same time in 2019.

Samsung Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6 specifications have surfaced online. The latest development emerges days after the Galaxy J4 debuted across Samsung's official support pages in India, Philippines, and Saudi Arabia. A Geekbench listing back in February also detailed the existence of the Galaxy J6 that revealed the handset with model number SM-J600F. Similar to the existing Galaxy J-Series models, the Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6 are expected to include a S bike mode and an Ultra Data Savings feature. These two features are useful in developing markets, including India and China. According to SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy J6 will come with a 5.6-inch AMOLED Infinity Display that is expected to come with an HD+ (720x1480 pixels) resolution.
Samsung Galaxy J4, Galaxy J6 Specifications Leaked, Rumoured to Come With Android 8.0 Oreo
The handset is said to have an octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC, coupled with 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB RAM options, and include a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor as well as an 8-megapixel front camera sensor. On the back, it is also rumoured to include a fingerprint sensor - similar to what we've seen on a wide range of smartphones offered by companies such as Asus, Vivo, and Xiaomi. The Galaxy J6 is said to come in 32GB and 64GB of storage options that both will be expandable via a microSD card. It is also claimed to have dual-SIM support alongside LTE Cat.4 connectivity and a 3000mAh battery. Furthermore, a metal body is reportedly covering the Galaxy J6 to make it a compelling option. Coming to the Galaxy J4, the handset that recently reached the National Communication Propagation Committee (NCC) of Taiwan for approval is said to have a 5.5-inch standard HD display. It hasn't been defined whether the display has an LCD panel or a Super AMOLED one. Under the hood, the smartphone is said to have a quad-core Exynos 7570 SoC, coupled with 2GB and 3GB RAM options. It is spotted to include a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor and a 5-megapixel front camera sensor - both sensors come with an LED flash. The handset is also said to have dual-SIM slots with 4G LTE connectivity and a 3000mAh battery.
Moreover, Samsung is reported to have opted for Android 8.0 Oreo for both the Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6. We can safely say that the Oreo experience will have a proprietary Samsung Experience UX as an icing. Samsung hasn't announced any details about the launch of the Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6. However, considering the growth in their rumours and the recent revelations through NCC and Geekbench, both are likely to be announced sometime in the coming future. The two new Galaxy J-Series models are also expected to come alongside the Galaxy J8 that has already appeared in a benchmark listing.

Some say Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 9 a bit earlier than expected this summer for two reasons. First of all, Galaxy S9 sales aren’t setting any records so the Galaxy Note 9 could help with Samsung’s bottom line for the year. Then, there’s always the iPhone factor. Apple is going to launch three distinct iPhones this fall, and Samsung may want to give its Galaxy Note 9 plenty of time to shine before the new iPhones hit stores this September. A wave of Galaxy Note 9 leaks seems to support those rumors. We’ve already seen purported images of the handset, and now the Galaxy Note 9’s specs have been leaked.
Galaxy Note 9 specs and they’re exactly what you expected
Posted on Geekbench, a benchmark test for the Samsung SM-N960U recorded on May 9th reveals that Samsung is already testing Galaxy Note 9 prototypes. The phone scored 2,411 and 8,712 in single- and multi-core tests, which is on par with what we expect from this year’s flagships. The listing also reveals the phone packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip and 6GB of RAM, and that it’s running Android 8.1 Oreo. In other words, this is precisely what we expect from Samsung’s next flagship.
There’s no new Qualcomm flagship chip to use, and top of the line smartphones these days will get you up to 8GB of RAM. They’re also launching with Oreo on board, which is Google’s latest stable Android release. Android P doesn’t have a name, and the first new handsets packing Android P out of the box will be Google’s Pixel 3 series. It’s likely that benchmarks for the Exynos-powered Galaxy Note 9 version will also come out soon, with even better scores than the Snapdragon 845. That’s exactly what happened with the Galaxy S9 earlier this year. Real-life speed tests have shown that both models can outperform the iPhone X and that the Qualcomm model is the fastest.

Samsung never reports how many smartphones it sells into channels or to end users each quarter, so we’ll never know exactly how many Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ handsets the South Korean company has sold. That said, every indication suggests that sales of Samsung’s latest flagship phones have been anything but impressive. A number of reports out of the East have said that sales have been slow, though we learned from Apple’s recent earnings call that these reports can be way off base. That said, we have even more solid evidence that Galaxy S9 sales have been underwhelming: both the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ got big price cuts after just one month of availability. That’s unprecedented for the top smartphone brand in the world, and it’s a very bad sign. The Galaxy S9 and S9+ look just like last year’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, which many believe to be a big part of the reason people aren’t upgrading.
The first image of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9
Well, if that’s the case we have some more bad news: A new leak suggests Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 9 will follow the Galaxy S9’s lead. We’ve heard rumblings over the past few months that the Galaxy Note 9 is expected to feature a design just like last year’s Galaxy Note 8. Now, however, a source that has been reliable many times in the past has shared what is believed to be the first image of Samsung’s upcoming next-generation Galaxy Note handset. The image above was posted on Twitter Thursday morning by Ice universe, who has leaked accurate information and images of unreleased smartphones many times in the past. The image appears to be the first render of Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 9, and it looks almost exactly like the Galaxy Note 8 from 2017. The bezels above and below the display may be slightly narrower than they are on the Note 8, which would again follow the same pattern as the Galaxy S9 as compared to the S8.
The overall shape and design of the Note 9 is largely unchanged, however. “Samsung was lazy in 2018 and I concluded that Note9 will not change much,” the anonymous leaker write in the tweet that accompanied the image above. “This is just a small adjustment to Note8.” The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to feature the same general specs and Super Speed Dual Pixel camera as the Galaxy S9+. There are still unconfirmed rumors that the phone may be Samsung’s first to include an under-display fingerprint sensor instead of a rear sensor, but some reports claim Samsung is still having manufacturing difficulties that will force the company to keep the rear sensor.

A report from a solid source that just hit the wire on Friday morning suggests that Samsung may finally have a launch schedule in place for its mysterious new Galaxy X. The company first confirmed that it was working on a smartphone with a foldable display back in 2017. At the time, a Samsung executive said that the company was targeting 2018 for the phone’s release, but numerous reports have since stated that the phone’s debut has bene pushed back to 2019. Honestly, that’s a very good thing, and it’s uncharacteristic for Samsung. The company has been known to rush out new products long before they’re ready for primetime, so it’s refreshing to see Samsung take a step back and make sure it gets things right before releasing the Galaxy X. According to this new report, the phone will have a 3.5-inch screen on the outside and the approximate equivalent of two 3.5-inch displays on the inside. When it folds open, its total screen area will be in the high 6-inch range. It’s a nifty idea and the Galaxy X could be truly impressive if Samsung manages to use a folding OLED panel so there’s no seam where the hinge is placed. But to be frank, it’s really not all that appealing to me. The device is bound to be awkwardly thick, and I’m not sure gaining a diagonal inch is worth dealing with the large size, the inevitable hit to battery life, or the weird aspect ratio.
Samsung is working on a phone design that would finally be more exciting than any iPhone
As it turns out, Samsung is in the early stages of working on a radical new smartphone design that would be completely unlike anything we’ve seen before. Did you catch that part that began at the 57 second mark? Panasonic demoed a television with a display that is completely transparent when it’s turned off. It’s absolutely incredible, and I need 10 of them right now. If you go back a bit to the 37 second mark, you can see another awesome design that puts a transparent display on the front of a wine cooler, but this time Panasonic only lights up part of the screen at a time. This way, the panel can display information but you can still see the wine inside the cooler. By now you probably see where we’re going with this. What would happen if Samsung took these technologies and shrunk them down so they could fit in your pocket? Well, you would end up with one of the most exciting and novel new smartphone designs the world has ever seen. The regulatory filing hawks over at Patently Mobile just dug up a pair of patents that were awarded to Samsung this week by the Unites States Patent and Trademark Office. As illustrated in the technical drawing above, the patents cover a smartphone with a transparent design. That would be… awesome.
As you might have surmised after watching the video above, a Samsung phone with a transparent display could light up the entire screen and be used just like a regular smartphone. But portions of the display could show graphics while other portions remain transparent, resulting in an augmented reality experience the likes of which the world has never seen on a smartphone. Samsung first showed off fully functional transparent displays all the way back in 2015, so the company has been working on this technology for quite a while now. Of course, that doesn’t mean a smartphone with a transparent display will launch anytime soon. In fact, even with these new patents brought to light, Samsung may never launch a phone with a transparent display. Companies constantly work on new technologies that never see the light of day — bet let’s hope that’s not the case here, because this device could be the most exciting smartphone the world has ever seen.

We have already seen some of the major smartphone launches of the year. However, there are many that still remain. While some of the big names have already entered India such as Samsung Galaxy S9, Huawei P20 Pro and more, the popular budget handsets such as Moto G6 series, Honor 10 and others are likely to enter the Indian market in the coming weeks. So here are 14 smartphones that are expected to show up in the Indian shelves in or before the end of June quarter.

Samsung’s prepping a new version of the Galaxy S9, and the specs just
Samsung’s new Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus are the two best Android phones on the market right now, hands down. We explained why in our in-depth Galaxy S9 review, but it boils down to this: Samsung’s new flagship phones are the total package. They’re sleek, they’re blazing fast, they’re powerful, the displays are incredible, and the new Super Speed Dual Pixel camera is the best you’ll find on a smartphone in the United States. The Galaxy S9 and S9+ are indeed the best Android smartphones you can buy right now. The problem for Samsung, it would seem, is that not many people are actually buying them. Several reports of disappointing sales have popped up in the month and a half since the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ were released. Then an unprecedented price cut just one month after launch seemingly confirmed those reports. They’re great phones, of that there is no question.
But Samsung’s decision to reuse the same design from last year’s Galaxy S8 and S8+ has apparently not done much to win over end users. There’s a new version of the Galaxy S9 being cooked up behind closed doors at Samsung, however. While it likely won’t do much to boost slow sales, it will pack some appealing features the current S9 and S9+ models lack. As has been the case in years past, Samsung is reportedly working on a ruggedized version of its flagship Galaxy S9 smartphone.
Dubbed the Galaxy S9 Active, the new phone is expected to include most or all of the Galaxy S9’s key features, but it’ll also offer a new design as well as improved water, dust, and impact resistance. We’ve heard rumblings about the phone a few times in the past, and now a blog called Ready Tricks has published an image that appears to show the unreleased Galaxy S9 Active’s specs. The source of the image is unclear, particularly because the blog states that the “specs sheet of the upcoming Samsung device has surfaced online.” This makes it seem like the leak was not sourced by the blog, but instead that the photo was found somewhere online and then reposted.
Whatever the case, the specs listed in the image above align perfectly with what we’ve heard so far about the Galaxy S9 Active, which is expected to have the model number SM-G893. Like the Galaxy S9, the S9 Active will apparently feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, a 12-megapixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The leak states that the phone will also feature a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a large 4,000 mAh battery. It’s unclear when the Galaxy S9 Active will be released, but the blog claims a launch is “expected” sometime in the third quarter this year. Again, the source of that claim is unclear.

'Apple's next iPhone could cost less but it may depend on Samsung'
Apple iPhone X generated a lot of curiosity, hype and buzz but it certainly was affected by its high price and certain demand issues. With its next iPhone model, the Cupertino-based tech company is looking to avoid those issues. However, for that it needs to strike a deal with its biggest rival, Samsung. According to a report in Digitimes, Apple wants Samsung to cut the price of the OLED panels. For the uninitiated, iPhone X was the first Apple phone to boast of an OLED display. The displays were made by Samsung and now Apple wants Samsung to cut the price by almost 10 per cent.
This will directly lead to the cost of the next iPhone models being reduced. While the entire tech world anticipates the next iPhone to cost more than the iPhone X but somehow if Apple does manage to get Samsung to slash the price of OLED display, the pricing could surprise many. It is reported that one third of total iPhone X production cost goes on the OLED display. Whether Samsung agrees to the new deal or not remains to be seen. Although the South Korean tech giant could end up gaining by doing so. If the demand for new iPhone or even the iPhone X does go up then Samsung stands to gain more than it did with the iPhone X.
A recent report also highlighted that Apple had been considering other manufacturers like LG but concluded that they didn’t have the capacity to meet their demands. So that leaves it to rely on Samsung that uses Y-Octa panels for its Galaxy S9 smartphones. It was rumoured that Samsung had, in fact, offered the same panels to Apple for its next-generation of iPhones. The price of the next iPhone could very well rest in Apple’s biggest rival’s hands.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Active With 4000mAh Battery, Snapdragon 845 SoC
Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are the company's latest flagship handsets that were announced ahead of Mobile World Congress this year. Days after the launch, the Galaxy S9 Mini was spotted online, and now newer reports have arrived which suggest that the South Korean giant is also looking to unveil the Galaxy S9 Active in the coming few weeks. Much like previous generations, the Galaxy S9 Active will evidently be a more durable and rugged variant of the Galaxy S9 series. Now, let's get to what the leak says about the phone's features.
As per a screenshot obtained by Ready Tricks, a new Samsung smartphone with model number SM-G893 could be launched in the second half of 2018. This is assumed to be the Galaxy S9 Active considering the Galaxy S8 Active had the model number SM-G892. Talking about specifications, the screenshot suggests the phone will be powered by the same octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. The display will reportedly have screen size of 5.8-inch and QHD+ resolution (1440x2960 pixels). As for the camera, the rear module will get a 12-megapixel sensor with f/1.5 - f/2.4 dual aperture, while the front camera will feature an 8-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 aperture. Lastly, the phone is said to bear a 4000mAh battery under the hood.
Pricing wise, we can expect the Galaxy S9 Mini to sport the same price tag as the Galaxy S9 if not higher, considering the added durability aspect. As for availability, the Galaxy S9 Mini might be launched in Q3 2018 followed by release in the next couple of weeks. Previously, the Galaxy S9 Mini had been spotted on TENAA with a 5.8-inch display and Android 8.0 Oreo. If indeed accurate, this will be the first Mini variant for Samsung flagship handsets since the Galaxy S5 Mini launched back in July 2014.

Behold: The Galaxy S10 of your dreams
It’s far too soon to call Samsung’s new Galaxy S9 a flop. After all, the S9 and S9+ were released just over one month ago, and there’s no telling how things will play out. That said, every early indication suggests that sales of the company’s new flagship Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ phones have been disappointing at best. Several reports citing supply chain sources have made claims that S9 sales have come in well below expectations so far, and our own trusted sources suggest that first-month sales figures were well below Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ sales during the same period. On top of all that, Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ prices have already been slashed at nearly every major wireless carrier in the United States.
This is obviously a terrible sign, and even more so when you consider that Samsung and its carrier partners already had preorder deals in place and special discounted launch bundles. It’s difficult to pinpoint exactly why Galaxy S9 sales have been so disappointing. The phones themselves are fantastic, as we made clear in our in-depth Galaxy S9 review. Some industry watchers believe that Samsung’s design is the problem. The new Galaxy S9 and S9+ look almost exactly like last year’s Galaxy S8 and S8+, so it’s possible that consumers don’t view them as worthwhile upgrades, especially since they’re so expensive. Whatever the case, Samsung is fortunate in that it has a thriving component business to help pick up the slack. Even still, all eyes will be on the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ next year as Samsung seeks to reassert its dominance in the high-end smartphone market. We still have a long wait before the S10 is unveiled, but a new video imagines what Samsung might be cooking up behind closed doors.
Well-sources rumors ahead of Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ launch suggested that the company was working on a dramatic redesign for its 2018 flagship phones. For whatever reason, the company apparently decided to cancel or postpone its Galaxy S redesign, and instead opted to release new flagship phones that look just like its old flagship phones. That decision may end up costing Samsung dearly, but this is obviously just a speed bump for Samsung and not a brick wall. Samsung’s Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ will be two of the most hotly anticipated smartphones of the year in 2019. It’s entirely possible that Samsung chose to push the big redesign it was working on back a year, and we’ll end up seeing it debut on the company’s new Galaxy S10 phones. Well, if the real Galaxy S10 ends up looking anything like the phone pictured in a new video posted to YouTube by Concept Creator, it will have been worth the wait.
Concept Creator envisions a new Galaxy S10 design that takes elements from Samsung’s current S8 and S9 design, but modernizes them. As you can see in the still capture above, the biggest change is the display. Samsung’s current Infinity screen design features curved sides and reasonably small bezels above and below the screen. This Galaxy S10 concept takes things even further by almost completely removing the bezels above and below the Super AMOLED display. The other big change can be seen on the back of the phone, where there is no longer a fingerprint scanner beneath the dual-lens camera. Samsung is rumored to be working on including an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for its flagship phones, and the Galaxy S10 may indeed be one of the first Samsung handsets to ship with the nifty new tech.
