Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has suffered from a knee injury during practice on Saturday ahead of the much-awaited showdown against Pakistan in ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final.
Reports claimed that during the fielding drill at the Indian camp, Ashwin fell down on his right knee as he aimed to take a catch. As soon as he landed on his knee, he injured it badly and was taken to medical care, suspending the practice session.
The physio Patrick Farhart came to provide medical aid to Ashwin and applied ice pack on his knee to give comfort. It was told that Ashwin had come back to the practice session where he bowled in the nets. The off-spinner mayhave injured his knee and he could be rested in the big match because India would not want to take any risks.
Both teams practices at the Oval cricket stadium. Amir bowled in the nets and was declared fit by Head Coach Mickey Arthur. It was told he is definite to play in the India match. No doubt, India are the favourites in the clash, but you never know which Pakistani side you’re playing against on the day.
