The specifications for Lenovo's upcoming Moto X4 were leaked in detail earlier this month but now a new set of specifications for the smartphone have surfaced on the Internet. The new specifications for the Moto X4 have been spotted on a benchmark website and suggest that the smartphone will come with 3GB of RAM instead of 4GB, which was tipped earlier - though of course, it may launch in two variants.

DisplayMoto E4 Plus sports a 5.5-inch with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels and pixel density of 267 ppi. The screen comes with 2.5D curved glass, a standard feature in most smartphones now.
HardwareDriving the device will be quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz together with two gigs of RAM. It will come in 16GB and 32GB memory variants. The device comes with a fingerprint sensor under the display panel. The device also features a mammoth 5,000 mAh battery which will should easily last two days, given the 720p display.
CameraIn camera department, Moto E4 Plus comes equipped with a 13 megapixel primary camera at the back capable of capturing videos in 720p at 30fps. The front snapper is a 5 megapixel unit with single LED flash and beautification mode for selfie-lovers.
ConnectivityMoto E4 Plus will support only a single nano SIM. Connectivity features include 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 LE. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor for advanced security features. The phone has a water-repellent coating for an added level of safety, albeit of a different kind.
SoftwareThe smartphone will run latest Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. The interface will stick to vanilla Android experience with minimal changes in the software. During the event the company emphasized on quick Android updates, facilitated by the stock Android software.
Availability and offersThe device will be going on sale at 11:59pm today at price of Rs 9,999. The device will be selling with various offers on Flipkart which includes Moto Pulse 2 earphones at Rs 649 instead of Rs 1,599.Idea users will get 84GB for 84 days at Rs 443. Jio users will get Jio Prime and 30 GB extra data over the normal data plans offered by the company. Flipkart will also offer a buyback guarantee of Rs 4,000 on the device.
The GFXBench listing of the Moto device with model number XT1789, which is expected to be Moto X4, suggests that the handset will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box and sport a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display. Notably, the previous leak tipped the smartphone to feature a 5.2-inch full-HD display. Just like the previous leak, the listing suggests that Moto X4 will be powered by a Snapdragon 630 SoC.
Moto E4 Pus has been unveiled in India at Rs 9,999. The smartphone is Flipkart exclusive and sale starts at 11:59 PM today. Motorola has announced a couple of launch day offers for people who purchase the device. This includes Moto Pulse 2 earphones at Rs 649, free two months subscription of hotstar Premium, 84GB data for three months from Idea at Rs 443, and 30GB extra data for Reliance Jio Prim members. Additionally, users will get up to Rs 9,000 of on exchange of their old smartphone, and BuyBack Guarantee up to Rs 4,000.
However, the listing has tipped the smartphone to come with 3GB of RAM instead of 4GB RAM that was suggested earlier. The discrepancy continues even in terms of storage as the listing says the smartphone comes with 16GB built-in storage, against the 32GB tipped earlier. As we mentioned, it's possible Moto launches two variants - 3GB RAM/ 16GB storage and 4GB RAM/ 32GB storage.
In terms of optics, the GFXBench listing suggests that the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel camera at front and a 12-megapixel sensor at the back. The Moto X4 is expected to come with a dual camera setup with a 12-megapixel and another 8-megapixel sensor at the back.
Interestingly, the Moto X4 is expected to be the first non-Google smartphone to support the search giant's Project Fi MVNO service that allow users to switch seamlessly between the different carriers. While there are rumours about the smartphone's launch at July 25 event from the company, it hasn't been confirmed as yet.
