In 2013, she was the female lead of the film Nasha, playing a teacher who ends up having a sexual relationship with one of her students. While Rediff stated that she excelled as a seductress in the role, the Mumbai Mirror stated she did "not play seductresses but a proper, responsible drama teacher" and that "Pandey makes an effort but isn't quite there".
The posters for the film, which featured her "clad in nothing, but two placards tactfully placed to cover her body", angered people and a group of protestors tore the posters and set them on fire on 20 July 2013 in Mumbai.
