The Android smartphone manufacturers always try their best to optimize the OS to suit their hardware. Apart from very few manufacturers, most of the others also have the in-house UI to differentiate themselves from others. With the heavy animations and features like split-screen multitasking and virtual reality, the devices also need more RAM to offer a seamless experience. Here is where the manufacturers are adding more and more RAM to satisfy the needs of the OS.
