Google's biggest problem of Android fragmentation continues. According to latest distribution numbers, the company's latest operating system Android Oreo, which rolled out in October last year, runs only on 0.5% smartphones globally. The most-used version of Android is Marshmallow, the operating system that launched almost three years ago in the year 2015. And if you thought that the problem of Android smartphones running on older versions of the operating system is confined to budget or mid-range smartphones, you got it wrong. Some of the top-end/flagship smartphones too run on older versions of Android OS. Here are 10 top-end smartphones running on Android Nougat (the Android OS variant that launched in the year 2016) ... Note: Some of these smartphones are expected to get update to Android Oreo in the coming days.

It is the first HTC smartphone to come with squeezable bezels and runs on HTC Edge Sense user interface based on Android 7.1 Nougat. Launched in June last year, the smartphone has not yet received Android Oreo update. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. 5. Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ Samsung is still to roll out Android Oreo update to its flagship smartphone lineup -- Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+. The company, however, has said that it is planning to roll out the Oreo update by January end to these smartphones. The company launched the Galaxy Note 8 last year in September. The smartphone comes with dual rear camera setup with two 12MP modules and 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED 'Infinity' display. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
