Google is soon going to push its AMP project in a big way and has plans for extending it to its emailing service, Gmail, making it more interactive. We have seen AMP project but mostly in search results that lets you open articles in a mobile-friendly and in the lighter format. Bringing this to Gmail will make the email service better, mostly in terms of productivity.

What is Google AMP Project all about Google introduced its AMP or Accelerated Mobile Pages tech in 2015. The AMP version of a web page on mobile opens them in a much faster and mobile-friendly fashion. It is now arriving on Gmail to make the email experience smoother than before.
To make your emails a lot more engaging and interactive AMP for Gmail is supposed to increase the productivity of users by offering more content in the same window, without letting them move to a different page. It will also keep the information up to date so you won’t need to refresh it. Users can take simple actions like booking a calendar appointment directly within the layout of the email without moving out.
In developer preview stage The feature for now is in the developer preview stage. This means that Google has left it for developers to make their apps compatible with AMP for Gmail. Some big companies have already started working on it.
