If the renders are correct, then the Nokia 7 Plus will be the first smartphone from the company to flaunt a full-screen design. As it is evident from the renders, the Nokia 7 Plus will be making an entry with aluminium framed packed in between front and back glass panels. The Nokia 7 Plus is expected to feature a 6-inch FHD display sporting a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels.
It is expected to arrive with an aspect ratio of 18:9 which has become the norm these days. Talking about other specifications of this device, the Nokia 7 Plus recently surfaced on benchmarking website Geekbench which revealed what we could expect from this device. According to Geekbench listing, this smartphone will be packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM. It will come with a 64GB of storage space onboard with an option for expanding storage space via microSD card slot. It will be running Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box and like the original Nokia 7, there will be 6GB RAM variant that will make its debut later on.
Also, the Nokia 7 Plus is expected to feature the dual camera setup of 12MP+ 13MP with support for Optical Image Stabilization and 2X optical zoom. There will be a 16MP shooter up front for selfies and video calls. In addition to that, the smartphone will come with a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack. It will be packing a 3450mAh battery under the hood with support for fast charging. If reports are to be believed, then it will be priced close to 410 Euros ($508). The fingerprint sensor will be placed on the back, just like the Nokia 7 although, the device had a 16:9 aspect ratio and thick bezels. Under the hood, the Nokia 7 Plus is expected to have the Snapdragon 660 chipset. According to a benchmark listing, the Nokia 7 Plus will have 4GB of RAM. Expect 64GB of onboard storage which will be expandable via a microSD card. The Nokia 7 Plus will also run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. The Nokia 7 Plus will have a 12MP wide-angle lens along with a 13MP telephoto lens.
The front of the smartphone is expected to house a 16MP camera with no LED flash. The primary camera setup will also have a Nokia Pro mode along with the Bothie feature. The Nokia 7 Plus is expected to be launched at MWC 2018. However, HMD Global could launch the smartphone in China first and then announce its global availability at MWC. The report by Ithome tells us that the device may have 6-inch display along with a dual-camera implementation of 12 MP + 13 MP sensors at the back.
On the front, the device should feature a 16 MP sensor with Carl Zeiss optics. The phone is also reportedly going to have the Nokia OZO 360 degree spatial audio technology, which was last seen on the Nokia 8 along with quick charge and Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box. The phone should have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC powering it as seen on the Geekbench listing alongside 4 GB of RAM. Other features should remain the same as seen in the Nokia 7 and the device is expected to be priced at around $300 or so. To recall the Nokia 7 was launched back in October for the Chinese market, however, a global launch should happen in early 2018.
