1. To begin with you just gave to follow this link (https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.whatsapp).
2. After you click on the list if will ask you to sign-in using your Google account. Make sure you sign-in with the same account you are using on the Android device.
3. A new screen will then appear with a ‘Blue button’ with text written ‘become a tester’. Click on that button.
4. Once done a new tab will open with the text ‘You are now a Tester’. Now you are eligible to receive all the early updates.
5. To confirm that you have become tester, open WhatsApp on Google Play Store. You will notice a suffix ‘Beta’ written next to the name of the app.
6. Now go to the My apps section in the Play Store. Check for any new updates for WhatsApp and update the app. Now, you have a beta version and will receive all the beta updates.
7. If you don’t wish to continue with beta testing and want to unsubscribe from it, click on this link (https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.whatsapp/)
8. A new tab will now open in the browser and you have to click on the option ‘Leave the program’.
9. Once done uninstall WhatsApp from your smartphone as it is the beta testing version.
10. Once uninstalled, you can now download the WhatsApp app which is available for everyone and is the public version.
