Huawei P20 and the P20 Pro smartphones are something the Chinese tech firm has been teasing for the past few days. There are also some leaks and rumours for the handsets as well, indicating that the ‘Pro’ version will feature as many as three rear cameras. The devices are scheduled to launch in Paris on March 27 at 15:00 CET (2PM IST).
However, a German electronics store, Saturn, seems to have jumped the gun, revealing all the specifications of the duo along side the prices. The images showing all the specifications, shared by GizChina, reveal both Huawei P20 and P20 Pro to run on EMUI 8.1 based on Android Oreo 8.1 OS. Both are also said to feature company’s home-based Kirin 970 processor and 128GB inbuilt storage. There could be a 24MP front-facing camera as well. The display, RAM, camera and battery specs are different.
There is a P20 Lite also shown in the images. Huawei P20 Pro is said to feature a 6.1-inch display with 2240x1080 pixels resolution alongside 6GB RAM and three rear cameras comprising of 40MP+20MP and 8MP sensors. It is also rumoured to feature slow motion recording at 960fps in 720p resolution. The device will be backed by a 4000mAh battery and is likely to cost EUR 899. The smartphone will also support LTE connectivity and dual SIM cards. The less powerful Huawei P20 is expected to feature a 5.8-inch screen with same resolution, 4GB RAM and dual rear cameras comprising of 20MP+12MP setup. It will be backed by a 3400mAh battery. The handset is said to be priced at EUR 649.
As for the Huawei P20 Lite, the smartphone will have the same 5.8-inch with 2240x1080 pixels as the P20 along with the same 4GB RAM capacity. The processor drops down to Kirin 659 and so does the battery – 3000mAh. The rear camera setup also slips down to 16MP+2MP sensors. The device is seen with a price tag of EUR 369. The report says there may be a Huawei P20 Porsche Edition, which will feature 256GB inbuilt storage and is likely to be priced more than P20 Pro.
