Soon after Amazon announced ‘Wave 2’ for another Great Indian Festival, Flipkart announced its next Festive Dhamaka Days Sale during the same period.
Once again Flipkart and Amazon will go against each other for a flagship sale face off.
The Walmart-owned company will host its Festive Dhamaka Days Sale from October 24 to October 27, while Amazon Great Indian festival is scheduled from October 24 to October 28.
Both the companies will follow a similar manner of offerings again. Bank offers, extra wallet cashbacks, no-cost EMI, extra off on exchange, early access for Flipkart Plus and Amazon Prime members and much more.

The return of Amazon Great Indian Festival starts on October 24 (October 23 for Amazon Prime members) and will run till October 28.

Reportedly both Walmart-owned Flipkart and Amazon India have chucked in more than $2.3 billion in revenue during the Flipkart Big Billion Day sale and Amazon Great Indian Festival last week. Flipkart claimed that it had over 70 percent share of entire Indian e-commerce during the day Big Billions Day sale.
As per a RedSeer consulting report, Flipkart had more than half of GMV for the entire e-commerce industry during those five days of the sale. Flipkart and Amazon had a 62-38 share in the face off.
Interestingly Amazon India strongly disputed the figures saying their gross sales nearly doubled from the last year’s Great Indian Festival sale, and Amazon has a higher share.
The Amazon India spokesperson said that the RedSeer reports are speculative and lack robust and credible methodology.
Flipkart has stayed ahead of Amazon all these years, but the company has worked hard through to match the capabilities. The Dussehra version of the Amazon Great Indian Festival has Prime sign-ups crossing 3X, 60 percent new customer sign-ups and 99 percent orders from pin codes across India in just 4 days.
