Smartphone makers have been pushing the limits in order to provide the best features in the market. Among all the specifications, smartphones with 6GB RAM are seen as a sign of a powerful device which can withstand all the multi-tasking we generally put our phones through, without any lags or frame-freezing of any kind. If you are in the market for a smartphone for such a purpose, here are some of the options that you may want to consider:
1. Xiaomi Redmi 5 Pro (Rs 16,999) The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro handset has a 6GB RAM variant. There is also a 4GB RAM variant of the handset, which costs slightly less at Rs 13,999. Other specs of both the variants remain the same. The handset has a dual rear camera setup of 12MP and 5MP with aperture f/2.2 and f/2.0 respectively. On the front, it houses a 20MP camera, a first from Xiaomi. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, making it the first device to run on this processor. With 64GB internal storage and 4000mAh battery, the Redmi 5 Pro has a 5.99-inch full HD+ display with 1080x2160 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.
2. OnePlus 5T (starting Rs 32,999) The OnePlus 5T comes in two RAM options -- 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM priced at Rs 32,999 and Rs 37,999 respectively. The former variant has a 64GB internal storage while the latter has a 128GB internal storage. Powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with Adreno 540 GPU, the device sports a 6.01-inch full HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) Optic AMOLED display with a pixel density of 401ppi and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It boasts of a 6.01-inch full HD+ Optic AMOLED display with a 1080x2160 pixels resolution.
3. Infinix Zero 5 (starting Rs 17,999) Hong Kong-based smartphone brand Infinix launched the Zero 5 handset with 6GB RAM with two storage options -- 64GB and 128GB at Rs 17,999 and Rs 19,999 respectively. The smartphone sports a 5.98-inch Full-HD display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution and is powered by a 2.6GHz octa-core MediaTek processor with Mali-T880 GPU. It features a 16MP front camera and a dual rear camera setup of 12MP + 13MP module.
4. Honor View 10 (Rs 29,999) Honor's first artificial intelligence-based smartphone Honor View 10 is powered by company's own Kirin 970 processor coupled with ARM Cortex CPU. As part of its AI-based features it comes with a real-time multi-languages translation support, image resolution enhancer and more. It has a 128GB internal storage and is backed by a 3,750mAh battery. Boasting of a bezel-less design with a 5.99-inch full HD+ display, the View 10 has a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 16MP and 20MP sensors. For selfie enthusiasts, there is a 13MP font facing camera.
5. HTC U11+ (Rs 56,990) HTC's first bezel-less smartphone, the U11+ has both a 6GB and 4GB RAM variant. However, in India, there is only a 6GB variant. In terms of specs, the device has a 6-inch Quad HD+ display and is powered by a 2.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. Offering 128GB internal storage, it features a 12MP UltraPixel camera and an 8MP front facing snapper. The device comes equipped with the Edge Sense support which was introduced with the HTC U11.
6. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (Rs 67,900) Samsung's flagship phablet Galaxy Note 8 packs in a 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage and is the first device from the company to sport a dual-rear camera setup of 12MP each. The device comes with a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED 'Infinity' display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. For the selfie lovers, there is an 8MP camera as well. Backed by a 3300mAh the battery, it also comes with company's home-brewed Bixby digital assistant.
7. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 (Rs 32,999) Xiaomi's first bezel-less smartphone, Mi Mix 2 features a 5.99-inch full HD+ display with 1080x2160 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Powered by a 2.4GHx octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU, it has 128GB of internal storage. For imaging duties, it has 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor and a 5MP front facing camera.
8. Oppo F5 (Rs 24,990) The 6GB RAM variant of the Oppo F5 smartphone comes at a bit higher price of Rs 24,990 than the 4GB RAM variant which costs Rs 19,990. The former has a 64GB storage and the latter has a 32GB storage. The USP of the device is its 20MP front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. In other specs, it has a 6-inch full view display with 18:9 aspect ratio and full HD+ resolution. Powered by a 2.5GHz MediaTek Helio P23 processor, it is backed by a 3,200mAh battery. The smartphone also comes equipped with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor and a 16MP rear camera.
9. Samsung Galaxy A8+ (Rs 32,990) Samsung's first smartphone with dual front camera setup too comes with a 6GB RAM. The handset is powered by octa-core Exynos 7885 processor with Mali-G71 GPU and 64GB internal storage. It sports a 16MP primary camera and 8MP secondary camera with f/1.9 aperture each on the front and a 16MP camera with f/1.7 aperture on the back. As for the display, the Galaxy A8+ has a 6-inch FHD Super AMOLED Infinity Display of 2220 x 1080p resolution.
10. Samsung Galaxy S9+ (To be announced) Though still not available in India, the bigger variant of the flagship smartphone from South Korean tech giant also features 6GB RAM. The handset comes with a 6.2-inch Quad HD + Curved Super AMOLED screen with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It packs a 3500mAh battery and has a dual 12MP Super Speed Dual Pixel rear camera module, which is the highlight of the device. It offers features like autofocus sensor and OIS and automatically adjusting dual aperture lens.
